Lab-Created Bullshit

Some western observers don't quite understand why General Igor Kirillov was a legitimate military target (see: what is a "general"?)  or understand that lying war criminals are actually bad. Kirillov was behind the dumb propaganda that there were US/Ukrainian biolabs about to threaten the RU/UKR border. I always thought this was a little bit of a backhand at the US for claiming mobile biolabs in Iraq before 2003. But it is totally not the case and never was. And the fuckers who play games with the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant have no business talking up Ukrainian "dirty" nuclear bomb threats anyway.

Which brings me to Elon Musk, incoming US president in fact if not in name, who is goofing with a government shutdown even before his old-age addled proxy is sworn in, threatening the GOP Speaker (presumptive) of the next Congress and also lying his dumb goofy pale face off. He says this on his dumb loss-leader propaganda site:

TWGB: Occupied America

Trump seems to be closing in on the finish line by wallowing in increasingly "blood and soil" fascist, anti-immigrant rhetoric, so I want to point out that there is a kind of irony that he wants to pretend there is an "occupied America." This depends upon a Pizzagate-level bit of idiocy--that a whole town could be occupied by a gang and it wouldn't be front-page news. Just like there could supposedly be a rash of pet-murders and it wouldn't be a major thing if it were actually true. And just like the mayor of Springfield had to come out and debunk Trump/Vance lies, the mayor of Aurora had to do the same.

"Occupation" is an interesting term. I can think of, for example, the Bundy ranch militia occupation, which had checkpoints and everything. But you know what I really think about? MAGA occupation of the public sphere in terroristic ways. Like way FEMA operations in North Carolina were recently disrupted by a local RW militia. One man has since been arrested

You want to know who has also been threatened? Meteorologists. That's insane. But they are getting threats for talking about climate change. As opposed to, I guess, talking about weather machines in the possession of Zionist Communist multi billionaires, or whatever the stupid conspiracy theory is today.

You could well ask, as former President Obama thoughtfully asked--"When did this become okay?" This is certainly not how it used to be. We didn't, for example, think of a riot at the Capitol as Speaker Mike Johnson recently stupidly put it, part of the election process. Maybe we could have once counted on responsible adults calling out Italian satellites, Venezuelan voting machines, German servers, Chinese thermostats and the like as being deadass stupid.

As the Worm Turns...

TrumpWorld has gained the endorsement of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. For what it's worth.

It's the endorsement of a conspiracy theorist who staged an accident for a dead bear cub, but not before posing with his hand in it's mouth, a man who allows it is possible there may be multiple claims of sexual harassment of assault against him, who had a brain worm because maybe he does eat roadkill--but vaccines are bad kids! and who is basically disowned by his family and his former party

TrumpWorld thinks this is a big "get". Or at least, they are advertising as one.

This is what they mean by "winning."

It was always a ratfuck. Bob Kennedy was always a rodent dildo

RFK Jr. and the Parasites

Although "brain worms" has become an amusing internet slang for someone whose cognition is more compost than mentos, I want to take the idea of brain worms very seriously. We just don't know what we might inhale or ingest from a swimming hole, a neti pot, or undercooked fish or pork. The risk to your health is real from a parasitic infection.

And I won't reduce this blog post to scoffing at RDK, Jr,. (Rodent Dildo Kennedy, Jr.) to making fun of what might have occurred in his brain, what with the brain worms, the mercury poisoning, or the lasting effects of heroin abuse. And whether any of that contributed to his behavior regarding the suicide of his former wife. After all, it was his excuse for why he couldn't figure out how to pay his ex-wife's alimony, because his brain worms prevented him from stable work and all. And it could have very probably been through his own, miserable, small, licentious and shitty actions that his ex-wife lost her sanity and life from his pure selfish bullshit. That part might not have been due to brain worms but being an actual piece of shit as a human.

But we are supposed to believe he can be president? Shouldn't he take a cognitive test, like Donald Trump has done, to let us know if he can tell what hands represent on a clock or which animal is a giraffe? Because admitting that cognitive effects can result from a brain worm infection and taking it seriously definitely means--taking that seriously.

And if RDK Jr has a cognitive problem that prevents him from understanding that he is in fact, a rodent dildo, we can, of course, feel a bit bad about that. We can acknowledge the evidence is very clear to people with eyes in their head, and no worms whatsoever. Maybe the worm ate the exact part of his brain that would have let him understand that he is a spoiler that would help undermine democracy.

It also alienates him from most of his family. That has to be excruciating. (Still his quixotic run persists.)  Maybe that's why he spouts Russian propaganda and undermines acknowledged science.

I can be moved to terrible pity. But I fear the result of people who continue to take him seriously. This revelation would be a glorious opportunity for him to recognize why he does not, in fact, need to run for president. He should spend more time with whatever family he has that can still stand him.

Nostalgia and Nepotism

During the Super Bowl, RFK Jr's Super PAC aired an ad that put his face over that of his uncle. Just as they disapprove of RFK Jr's candidacy, several of his family members came out to note the ghoulishness and appropriation of the ad. As for the man himself, he's very sorry to for his family being hurt by the ad, and had nothing to do with it at all, at all, but here is is: his pinned Tweet. (Or it was as of the time of this blogging.)

There are some genuinely silly things contained in all this: the 1960s, which this ad is a callback to, is 60 years ago. I don't personally have any nostalgia for it and that goes for a lot of younger voters. He doesn't seem to stand for the values of his honored and passed near-relations and is derided by his currently-living near-relations, so if he's running on nostalgia or nepotism, it seems like he had two strikes against him.

But somehow the millionaires and billionaires who fund this campaign believe that this is the way to frame their old and strange boy. Where the youthful brothers' Kennedy gave us hope and a new frontier, in the 1960s, this addled Boomer is going to unite the country--with people like Mike Flynn and Steve Bannon.

Yeah. I'll pass.

Army of God and the Texas Tangle

Rubber Duck, hold on to your shorts, because it looks like we might have us a convoy again.

What? Well, Gov. Abbott of Texas can't defend the border against (reads notes) US Border patrol and continue to hold up supply lines without the help of Trump's little Christian soldiers. I mean, can he? So of course he will need weirdo civilians showing up in job lots to just confuse the fuck out of everything, because that's completely effective border security. He will want a kind of posse, made up of the sternly written opinions of red state governors and maybe they send their National Guards to do nothing but stand about at the border. Bored and listless. Away from home.

This is the Republican approach to a serious issue--stunt-queening. The legislature could just vote on fully funding agencies involved with border security to do a really great job, but instead we get this shit. They want to impeach DHS Mayorkas because he can't do his job because they didn't give him the funds--even if he's still doing as much of his job as he can--within constitutional limits. I'm the kind of nut who thinks people get impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors, not for trying to obey the law.

It's just as fucked-up as the GOP Hunter Biden investigation--it rests on the idea that the kayfabe of Breitbart and Gateway Pundit are real shit. It distracts from the GOP inability to do policy or govern ever. Let's interfere with the people trying to do the job, to hold up the job getting done. Let's not do an immigration deal--ever! Then bitch about there never being an immigration deal. Blame Democrats for existing. Blame them harder when they want to make a deal. Because how dare they!

TWGB: Mike Lee is Storming the Cockpit

I'm so old I remember when Mike Lee wasn't gonna support Trump, but there has been a whole lot of water under that bridge between 2016 and now, including Mike Lee helping with the fake electors plot, but why even go there? Senator Mike Lee has endorsed Donald Trump. Wholeheartedly.  Why is that?

He added, “And so, whether you agree with him on every point or not, if you are not content with the status quo — the status quo of lawlessness, of putting America last — it’s time to get behind Donald Trump, and I wholeheartedly endorse Donald J. Trump in his bid for the presidency in 2024.”

Wait a minute--lawlessness? Let me check this out--the former president who wants the Supreme Court to decide he had infinite hall pass on crimes while president is the remedy to lawlessness? The guy who said he wants the economy to fail while Biden is in office because it helps his election puts America first?

The rapist, racist business fraud, who took classified documents and incited a riot on 1/6--is supposed to be the not-chaos guy? Prithee, how, sway?

Although, how is that any different from what Gov. Chris Sununu has said? He would support Trump as the nominee even if he's convicted of crimes.  Because even Trump--proven criminal, but a Republican, is better than a Democrat of any kind whatsoever.

This RFK, Jr. Person Might Be Going Places. (Updated)

I sure as hell don't know where those places are, but he is assuredly going. I don't know if he ripped ass on this video, but it sounded like someone sure did. I like his declaring independence because he sure is. And I also love that the GOP got big mad the anti-Biden trap they laid is on them.  So Democrats mostly don't need to care, because the crazy is just going to expose itself.

I love it when a Flynn/Bannon production does stupidly awry.

UPDATED: Dennis Kucinich has left the campaign and has been replaced by Kennedy's daughter-in-law.  Some speculation exists that RFK Jr. was too nutty for Kucinich, but that hardly feels right. I think probably has a lot more to do with Kennedy's switch from being a Democratic chaos agent to a freelance chaos agent. Also, Kucinich has long been a critic of Israel, and despite having said anti-Semitic things, RFK JR. is pro-Israel, so maybe recent events brought things to a head.

TWGB: We're Never Leaving 2016, Right?

Heh, yes, the takeaway of the Steel Dossier is DEFINITELY the golden showers part. Jesus.  See, this is the ridiculousness of the Real Housewives of TrumpWorld that keeps me hanging on. Junior always looks like he wanders into rooms vaguely hoping someone cares enough about his ass to stage an intervention (they don't). Mike Flynn should have been x'd from a professional political campaign over fake news shit in 2016, but went on to be pardoned for lying to the FBI by the Trump Administration because my god. He's a Russian-influenced quisling practicing psyops on the US population, but he's their Russian-influenced quisling practicing psyops on the US population

They're bringing up the Steele Dossier because it didn't actually start the investigation into Russian interference and no one heard anything about pee tapes before Trump was already in office, but most people don't remember things linearly. It still scratches a very specific itch--the desire of Trump to exorcise the "Russia, Russia, Russia" demon with his own specific and frankly amusingly stupid counter narrative.

Ukraine are the bad guys who helped Hillary Clinton by framing Russia and no they didn't, and despite all the obvious RIGGING! like in California, where Trump could have definitely won! um. Trump won in 2016 anyway. He had his little bullshit election fraud commission that found nothing and disbanded. Why does he need to pretend he was wronged? He had his opportunity. He fucked up COVID. He lost more jobs than like, Hoover. He got impeached twice! Why is he still here?

Why are we all still here in 2016?

TWGB: The Bride at Every Wedding

The highlighting of the above screenshot is courtesy this Tweet from Ben Collins, wondering what exactly Trump is doing here. But I'm the idiot who does TrumpWorld Grab-bags, so I know. He's too clever for us, is Trump. He can't scarper. He won't go scuttling away in the dead of night--why no! he's too famous for that! He won't go abseiling down the wall of the tower he will, Rapunzel-like, be held in. Not even if you gave him enough cable.

He's thinking about it though. Does he think Daddy Vladdy has an extraction team ready to escort him to a well-appointed dacha? Because it isn't 55 years ago, and Russia can't even invade neighbors or land spacecraft on the moon like they used to. They tie up loose ends a very different way now. (He's 90. I mean nothing by this. Of course, I don't. Also...)

What Trump is saying is "poor, poor, pitiful me" because he is far too rich and famous to disappear and that's just an incredible burden. He's too recognizable--what is he to do, shave his head? Wear sweats? Quel dommage, mais no. Even so, he's known from Jibib to Atlantis.

Maybe Kushner has an in with the Saudis. I understand they can make people disappear.

Am I being unnecessarily dark? Sigh. I am cutting up the revelations of the soul-baring of a narcissist who wants you to identify with his plight. Usually, it's only in banana republics a former leader needs to fear coming to justice for a planned coup. Usually, it's only in banana republics a leader plans one. He is, as Francis Albert (who didn't care for him, BTW) sang, doing it his way. And oh! the melodrama!

Kennedy, Caviezel, and the Conspiracy Theories

I was prepared to just dedicate a little space to the "surprise" movie of the summer, a little action picture (I guess it's action?) starring Jim Caviezel (whose work on "Person of Interest" was quite all right) and which is just a bit controversial. You know, in the way that the movie is at least thematically related to Qanon, and Jim Caviezel is a big old Q-Krazy. As in, when he promotes the movie, he adds a dollop of adenochrome discussion which is a descendant of the gnarly old anti-Semitic blood libel, which itself can be traced back to "the Jews killed Jesus".

So of course it's being promoted to Christian groups and conservatives with a "pay it forward' scheme that seems to be plumping its box office totals, in rather the way mass book-buys aid conservatives on the best-seller lists.

Now, as for me, I don't like to criticize art I haven't sampled and don't mean to yuck anyone's yum over wanting to see the movie--which may very well be worth it at the price! I'm just naturally skeptical over something that might very well be soft-peddling hard bullshit that misrepresents human trafficking and how to combat it. It also strikes me as really odd that just as focus has come upon the real-life group formed by Tim Ballard who inspired the movie--he's checking out for a while. That may or may not be anything sketchy.

But I'd hate to see anyone fall unawares into any of the Qanon-related "rabbit-holes".  Or decide to freelance to combat human trafficking because they think they are "helping".

(I do have to say that this "raising awareness" of human trafficking with a look of earnestness reminds me a bit of the "Kony 2012" viral video from nearly a dozen years ago. I recall one of the makers of that video was briefly checked into a health clinic or something in the surrounding attention. And some very cringe music videos surfaced.)

On Name Recognition and RFK Jr.

A certain nepobaby running (at the behest of Steve Bannon and Mike Flynn, because why not?) in the 2024 Democratic primary has insinuated the CIA might kill him.  Me? I think who you hang with matters.  And if you're an anti-vaxx dipshit who hangs with white supremacists, yeah, I have a huge problem with you. But I doubt that the CIA would need to bother, because this man is a danger to himself and others, but not in the way that gets you un-alived by spooks.

Even though he's a fountain of Russian propaganda about US officials doing bioweapons. He thinks psychiatric drugs are the reason for mass shootings

He was certainly named for his father, but other than my belief his mother was an honest woman, I'd be hard-pressed to see either his father's intelligence oR compassion anywhere in this privileged puffed-up twit. I guess what I'm trying to say is--

He's not offbeat or contrarian or beating his own drum or whatever. He's an idiot. He's an idiot with name recognition because he got named for his dad. It really isn't deeper than that. And that he might get any penetration based on the name recognition from his ancestral betters, gone these many decades, is a thing shocking to contemplate.

And yet, can we doubt that if a certain former president were not part of a successful reality show for several years, he might not have done so well electorally?

(Read my Twitter thread. It has links.)

Would I Call it Weaponization?

Somewhere, deep down, I feel like nothing is ever over with Republicans. Forget Benghazi or tan suits. They are going to get weird and bring up Chappaquiddick or Alger Hiss or Robert Byrd's Klan connections out of the blue.  So what do I think when Jim Jordan thinks maybe he'll target Hillary Clinton with a new investigation?

If Hunter Biden wasn't already done to death, why would the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy turning their lonely eyes to Hillary Clinton again hit any different?  I mean, Kevin McCarthy, the current and obviously temporary Speaker of the House explained out loud where people could hear that the email investigation hurt Clinton intentionally. And current crank James Comer admitted in the same vein that the investigation into President Biden's family members is supposed to help Trump.

He still hasn't found what he's looking for, of course. The GOP can't keep track of their whistleblowers. To the extent they exist they are being paid by Trump insider Kash Patel who is a witness in the Mar-A-Lago document scandal and the first impeachment over the Ukraine president's being extorted. So that's not obviously sleazy as hell, right?

But in the funny old round world kind of way, it comes out just now that the Trump DOJ was already investigating the Clintons via the Clinton Foundation, and they had nothing. See, unlike Trump's slush fund that he called a charitable enterprise which had to be shut down, and his kids had to go to mandatory don't run a charity as a slush fund school? The Clinton Foundation has been on the up and up.

So--see how that seems like weaponization? And the thing where Trump get tried in courts and actually has done stuff is not weaponization? And how Durham had nothing, and most Republicans seem to be kind of distracting from 1/6 or the documents scandal by deflecting and whatabouting to other stuff?

It's like they want to pretend "both sides" are equally as bad and they really aren't. And I would through very gritted teeth like to suggest the media report it that way, because sometimes, there are not two sides to everything (sorry current CNN management!) but one side is actually very bad, even seditious. And even undermines the very concept of rule of law via extreme partisanship.

And what I mean by that isn't hard at all to see or hear if you're paying attention.

What Rough Beast Slouches Towards Iowa?

The whackadoodles of Mike Flynn's travelling psyops parade decamped at the Doral where they were welcomed among the other bedbugs. It's an explicitly Christian Nationalist gimmick, and many Christians do not enjoy the political posturing. While Trump was not there in actuality, he was there in the form of his idiot son Eric and probably Lara Trump--they have been tight with this weird community of anti-vaxxers and convoy-promoters and school board and hospital protesters. And when his Iowa rally was called supposedly due to the weather, The Former Guy called in to let convicted and pardoned felon, the man who was collecting bucks from Russia and Turkey, Mike Flynn, know that he was definitely welcome in a second Trump Administration.  As he's been saying

Of course, one should be aware by now that Flynn is, to put it delicately, batshit. Someone who wants to overthrow the government, celebrates chaos, and thinks there's vaccines in the salad dressing isn't normal.  But this is Mr. 5th Generation Warfare, the guy who is telling his followers to look out because the internet is being used to tell people weird shit in order to manipulate them. Which is fun stuff from the guy whose son spread Pizzagate memes in 2016 and himself talked about Agenda 21, which is actually dead stupid.

The coterie of kooks include Julie Green, who I almost feel sad for, because she is on a level of toxic dumb shit that is hard to divorce from thinking--is she okay? Why do people let her just be delusional like this? Is there money in it?

(I mean like, fortunetellers do get paid sometimes, it's a reliable bunco. But when someone is so repeatedly wrong, shouldn't they they get moved to the next town by ripped-off and unhappy customers? Unless they have found the marksiest of the marks. And that is the Trump mishpocha. They want to believe.)

We Can Figure Out this Kennedy Conspiracy

RFK Jr. has filed to run in the 2024 Democratic presidential primary. He is an anti-vax loon. He talks at events where neo-Nazis are in attendance. Maybe someone is hoping his name recognition is a threat in Democratic circles?

Sigh. You can see what's up with this. I can see what's up with this. But they are trying it.

UPDATE: Well, exactly--Steve Bannon apparently pushed for a long while to get RFK Jr. to do this dumb thing because he might be useful as a chaos agent to spread anti-vax memes. Is Steve Bannon actually like a billion viruses in three shirts and a jacket? Because he's behaving exactly like a billion viruses in three suits and a jacket, or maybe like a guy working closely with or for an actual CCP agent who is just trying to fuck up the US.

I don't actually think all the anti-vax, friends with Flynn, Stone and Bannon, and talking in fornt of neo-Nazis and such will win him friends on our side, even though I once admired his environmentalism. Anyway, I used to like Ralph Nader, until he ran third party in 2000 like a dude who was too Ralph Nader to just buy a sports car for his mid-life crisis. Anyways, get back to me when Robert's son Conor wants to run for office.

Also, a funny thing that would come up for RFK Jr. is how he, the environmentalist horked onto Hugo Chavez, the leader of a petrostate, the way his dad was associated with actually good labor leader Cesar Chavez.

Anyway, that's funny as heck to me now because of the whole Smartmatic/Dominion connection to deceased Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez thing. My sense of humor hasn't been right since like, 2000 or so.

So, I thought you all might appreciate it.

The Spirit of 2016 and the Illegal Meme

For some people, it's never stopped being 2020, and for the immuno-suppressed and their families, I get that. For me, it's never stopped being 2016, when begun, the meme wars were. The 2016 presidential election had an extraordinary amount to do with digital presence, and I don't think we've yet absorbed all of the lessons from how foreign influencers and Pepe-heads took over the conversation and suppressed part of the vote or rendered the importance of the franchise to "vibes".

I have talked about the Brad Parscale/Internet Research Agency dual strategies at targeted voter suppression a few times in the course of TrumpWorld Grab-Bags because the similarities in tactics were tandem and synergetic. The Trump campaign in 2016 deliberately worked to target Black voters and peel them off of from the Democratic candidate. The same thing was done with the IRA

So if we take a look at recently convicted Douglass Mackey, who created voter suppression memes during 2016 as part of his online "Ricky Vaughn" persona, we see an individual not necessarily directly associated with a campaign or foreign influence, who nonetheless tried to influence an election through fraud. The text message, the option to vote via text, was inauthentic. The line was real, if not a valid way to vote.

TWGB: Look Who's Coming to the Doral

Stories about the Trump organization being fined $1.6 million for 17 felonies (overhead! practically a turnpike toll!) or Trump and his lawyers being sanctioned nearly a million dollars for a frivolous LOLsuit against Hillary Clinton and a whole cast of characters based on Trump's long-established grievances (as if the body of his one-time Twitter feed had coalesced itself into a legal document) are heart-warming, sure, but they leave me cold.

It only follows, as the night the day, that some degree of fucking around will get some finding out on the morrow. Do I find Trump's balance of FA to FO satisfactory?

I do not. He still gets around and has got some coming around.

This is why I am watching his re-election campaign such as it is find its footing with interest, because as he typed out on Truth Social, he has something wild planned at the Doral. Funny evocative world--wild. I remember when things were wild at the Willard and proceeded to get wilder at the Capitol. Surely, there's nothing intentional there?

But look who is coming to Doral! It's former General and Trump NSA Michael Flynn and the ReAwaken America circus!  It's a person some consider to be a traitor who has gathered election-deniers, Christian Nationalists, Qanon, and the Apocalyptic viewpoint of a showdown between good and evil, happening right here in the good old US of A.

This Man was NSA Under Trump

I'm pretty sure Russia's objective was not to have what they thought was going to be a three-day's war turn into over 300 days, nor lose over 100,000 personnel in the process, nor be down to getting their missiles from Iran and ammunition from North Korea, Nor be facing severe economic uncertainty as their falling currency value leaves them between the inflation and interest rates so steep already pressed (or is it--press-ganged?) people are still unable to make ends meet.

But Flynn is like a faithful little cobbler's elf clinging to his last, isn't he? I mean: bio-labs! Are we all this stupid? This is a guy who told us they were putting vaccines in salad dressing. So, he's out here giving off a Russian derivative of the busted Iraq biolabs thing the US was putting on to play up a casus belli for the Iraq invasion nearly 20 years ago?

Is his opinion of all our intelligence that low--or is it just him?

Crimea Bridge is an Object Lesson

Before we get into the inevitable ruckus about who invaded who and committed war crimes from the jump, I would like to use the blog's time to issue a shout-out to (checks notes) Puddin' who is 70 psychopathic years old, and the object of affection of fellow psychos everywhere from Chechnya to Syria, from Mar-A-Lago to Englewood.

Now, if, like myself, you admire the grit and ingenuity of the Ukrainian people and as a matter of human rights, support their basic right to self-defense, you can't help but look at the flaming birthday candles just about a week from Putin's appalling overreach and ask yourself: Does this look like a man with a plan?

He is not. He is not a genius.  He wasn't goaded into the invasion by the US at all but was warned off of it. And absolutely everything Mike Flynn says about Russia at the moment has to be understood as proof who of pulls his actual strings. This is a man so bought as to warn off all potential customers because he's spoiled for them, a man whose only honor seems to be adherence to blaming America First. (Only the religious right in this country could stomach him, because they are accustomed to laundering scoundrels.)

TWGB: The "Keeping Secrets" Service?

There is something very wrong with a picture wherein a government agency charged with protecting the physical well-being of the president and the vice-president becomes engaged in the protection of the president in what looks for all the world like a violation of his oath to defend the republic from all enemies, foreign and domestic. But that's what it looks like we have when the Secret Service seems to be engaging in shenanigans regarding their texts regarding what was witnessed in the lead-up to the events of January 6th, 2021.

With the story of why the texts haven't materialized changing several times, it appears that now the texts have been recovered? Why, how fascinating! Is it possible the stories were a stall tactic that wasn't going to work if a whole lot of scrutiny fell on an agency that should also, being law enforcement recognize both their responsibility to hold on to data for record keeping purposes as a federal agency and also the ability of cyber forensics to recover data that isn't really gone?

Yeah. Probably something like that. Should we feel weird about what those texts will say--like, knowing Mike Pence has a good instinct about the threat kind of weird?

TWGB: It's Raining Shoes!

It certainly has been a minute, hasn't it? So, what brings me out of self-imposed blogging exile, if not something very relevant to my...
