TWGB: In Memory of His Sacrifice!

Honestly, people!  Didn't you pause amidst your bank holiday sales and cook-outs and fireworks and actually honoring the fallen servicemembers of the wars of the United States to think of the real sacrificial victim of all of our total history, bar none, of which there have been none greater, one Donald J. Trump, Stable Genius?

Maybe you did because you missed his bizarre self-pitying post! But I'm extremely online, so I got to be appalled the way normal-thinking people actually would be on being confronted with the comfortable, silver-spoon airhead of advanced age telling us his pussy-grabbing and bank-defrauding penalties are proof of a rigged system. Even though he has the funds to appeal it all the way, paid for by his non-silver spoon airhead faithful.

TWGB: Cold Courtrooms and Old Farts

You are supposed to pity Trump at this point, the miserable wretch that he is, made to sit by his enemies in a freezing cold courtroom morning until night. But is the room literally cold, or just figuratively cold--a place where being faced with people who truly don't care for his demeanor, his policies or anything else about him say that pretty much to his face, where he is obliged to say nothing? I can certainly imagine a few reasons for a little shiver down his back.

It's not that Trump doesn't have friends in low places, like Fox News, who won't help him try to tamper with the jury--he does. It's that Trump want to thuggishly take care of business himself and be seen like the mob boss he thinks he is, instead of being told to put his phone away like a naughty school child. It's realizing that racking up gag order violations may cost him his freedom--and if he doesn't like the temperature of a courtroom--? It's the pull of his overstimulated ID--needing to erupt in wrath, vs. his wounded narcissistic ego.

But at least he has the political party he took over to keep him warm. And funded! For one thing, his campaign is definitely going to do more spending at his various properties. I guess he's always sort of done that--but this time it might just be ringing some bells regarding potential FEC violations

Does it look bad? Do I need to tell you if something looks bad in TrumpWorld, it probably is bad?

And of course, there's the MAGA political candidates--his people! And if they want a piece of his coattails (which I insist are those of an unraveled bolero), they will need to kick back 5% of the takings

South Carolina Sweet Tea Leaves

I spend way too much time on Twitter, but I know Twitter is not real life. Dean Phillips just finished 3rd in South Carolina. Despite polling that only had Joe Biden at 69%, he won SC with about 96%. (Maybe they were looking at the results upside-down?)

I see people online trying to say there was really low turnout. President Biden is the incumbent. Nobody expects him to lose. It isn't a sign of ,as far as I can tell, anything, and the spin people are putting on the low turnout takes me back to, um, former President Trump's numbers in Iowa. I also want to point out that SC isn't a state Biden would expect to win in the general (although, no kidding, I'd love to pretend Democrats were competitive everywhere)

Here's the thing that is interesting to me--South Carolina has open primaries, but you can't vote in both and they are held on separate dates. So what I'm wondering is, what's going to be the turnout for the Republican SC primary, held after the Nevada contest (which looks like a dog's breakfast, and why would any political machine do that to themselves?)

TWGB: Raining Bad Pennies

This post is brought to by Bell's Theorem, karma and the tendency of criminals to return to the scene of the crime. If this opening sentence doesn't make sense, wait for it. I've been waiting for the NY civil trial decision and the immunity thing like all of you guys. The waiting is either the hardest part as Petty proclaimed, or the special sauce as hedonists everywhere have discovered to their throbbing surprise and delight.

Discovering that Trump's data protection suit against Christopher Steele was rejected was a fun thing to trip over on a Thursday morning. There's no good reason to have brought that case, and no good reason to file it when it got filed except--as a warning that Trump will try to sue you eventually if you say mean things about him ever? I don't know UK law, but this was rejected for statute of limitations, which really feels to me like he didn't want the suit, just the message the making the suit sends. And his campaign paid for the pleasure of a lolsuit. (Level Law--the firm--it's in his FEC reports. Donors are paying for the pleasure of Trump satisfying his grudges.)

Trump's predicament is dumb. What if there were a suit that had to deal with the data in the dossier, which would be rehashing shit that could have come up in 2016--NOW?! Me? I think there were a LOT OF THINGS we could have discussed about Trump in 2016 that we didn't. And now it's 2024, there's SO MUCH MORE.

TWGB: Trump Doesn't Have to Be Explicit

It seems that people are wondering why the story that an armed man who participated in the 1/6 insurrection was arrested in Barack Obama's neighborhood after wandering about a school while armed and oh! the important thing--after Trump posted former president Obama's address to his Truth Social (which no one is flocking to in the pending demise of Twitter, and which has already accrued some insider trading trouble) isn't given more attention.

I don't exactly know this for a fact, but it feels like the media have trained themselves to ignore that Trump is always crowdsourcing violence. He has been from the very beginning. The wouldbe gunman, Taylor Taranto, said he chose the school because it was close to the home of Rep. Jamie Raskin. Ponder that.

It doesn't take some wild leap to recall Cesar Sayoc, who sent improvised pipe bomb-like things to the journalists and political figures he believed to be on Trump's hitlist. Or maybe this reminds you of the Pelosi home invasion. Or because this violent individual was also a part of the 1/6 insurrection, it can't help but remind you of those fools for Trump, doing his dirty work.

TWGB: It's Him. He's the Problem.

The thing with Trump is, he doesn't ever stop his dumb mouth. Even though his lawyers probably told him this already, the Judge in the civil defamation/sexual assault trial against Trump needed to comment on Trump's social media commentary. What Trump was trying, and always is about, is making his case to the public. He seems to believe that if you're a really popular guy, maybe the rules don't matter. If you are a star, you get away with things

And in Trump's world, he is a supernova. His gravity bends time and space. Why wouldn't his continued invective against the woman who accused him be fine and dandy?

Um, because this is a defamation case, and that shit right there was more defamation? This is where I say a little prayer for all the people who still think Trump is smart and want him to be president, because if you see him do that shit, and still think he is smart--my god. The daily life you lead. The struggles you face. The afterschool special that is you. The entire cautionary tale of your mislead existence. How you don't drown in the pouring rain with your whole mouth agape mystifies me, but go on doing you, I guess.

Anyway, Alvin Bragg might try to gag his mouth separately and for all the same reasons. Lawyers always remind their clients they can shut the hell up and help their case. Trump has that right but fails to demonstrate the ability.

Anyway, his issues with respect to his legal woes have a lot to do with him--I suspect it was his choice that Tacopina is the guy he wanted to question E. Jean Carroll. The big dude who looks like a mob enforcer. Not one of his lady attorneys. So this big dude is asking a slight older woman why she didn't scream in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room. When so many of us women would entirely understand why. The irony that the exact trauma you would want to be saved from is the exact highly degrading position you don't want to be seen in. The shock of being moved on and the adult-think responsibility of thinking this is the thing you, and you alone, have to save yourself from.

Jim Jordan is Defending Putin's Puppet

Donald Trump has always just been a tool for Putin, just a dopey, underinformed somewhat ineffectual businessman who has been handled because of his wealth by foreign influence from the beginning. There is credible reason to believe that if Trump won a second term instead of massively losing, he would have finally "winked" at Putin to do his damnedest with respects to Ukraine.

I don't know why GOP Representative Jim Jordan thinks he needs to protect Donald Trump from all threats as if he was his very own smol bean--but Jordan is a sketchy guy himself. Maybe Trump has dirt on him, maybe not. Maybe he seriously does believe Trump is his smol bean. I never succumbed to whatever charisma Trump is supposed to have, but maybe this is his influence on his supporters, they see him as their hero and also as a small baby who needs to be protected.

MAGA doesn't want us to fool around with their sweetheart, Donald J. Trump. Because he puts America first? Heh! While he's talking up the dictators in China and Russia we are supposed to believe he's strong on. He says the US radicals are the greatest threat--to the whole country, or just to his political future? Anyway, Jordan hasn't got any right to interfere in New York business, and Bragg isn't about to let him.

Alivin Bragg is suing Jim Jordan for using federal US dollars to fuck around with state business to prevent a lawful investigation into a one-time NY citizen. In the meanwhile, Trump's support is cratering because America is tired of his act.

I'd love to see Trump's dogged supporters go down with their Titanic leader. They seem dead set on putting him, not this country, first.

TWGB: April is the Cruelest Month

I guess Trump's indictment cherry having been popped, he has no reason to expect the rest of this month to be great, but wow--I don't think it's going to be good for The Donald! For one thing, just this Thursday, he's sitting down again with Leticia James and her crew regarding his NYC civil case over his business practices, and since he repeatedly pled the 5th the first time around, this time isn't going to go any better. See, the thing is, in civil trials there's a thing called adverse inference which means what it says on the label: if someone is pleading the 5th because their testimony might incriminate them, take it at face value that the truth would not set them free.

He's also facing the E. Jean Carroll civil suit in NYC over his defamation of self-described rape victim E. Jean Carroll. The judge in this case has agreed to anonymity for the jury based on Trump's already egregious behavior regarding judges, prosecutors, witnesses, you name it.  Because he acts like a mafioso. As with the Bragg case in Manhattan, this case highlights how horrific he is to women.

I really wish people were more aware of this

Anyway, there is still the potential for indictments to drop in either the Georgia grand jury case, where racketeering and a broad cast of characters being looked at for indictment figure, and the obviously bad Mar-A-Lago documents case. I am not actually crouching on a case of champagne waiting for those things, but it would be neat, right?

And then there's the odd thing about Trump filing to block Mike Pence's testimony to the Special Counsel regarding J6--why? Is there a problem with the very honest man Trump had as his Vice-President testifying about what might had led up to that day? And if so why?

Enquiring minds would like to know. After all, it always has struck me as strange that Trump's impulse is always to obstruct or delay the release of facts about whatever it is he's been up to while he claims he's a pure as the driven snow, and his little fan club hasn't yet caught on and said: "Put up or shut up."

Anyway, I think it's already been demonstrated that executive privilege appeals are going to fizzle. And with interesting results. I know Trump wants to plead all his cases to the Supreme Court because he picked a third of them, but OTOH, has he offered any really good vacations lately? (I mean really!)

Anyways, it is starting to look like the season of finding out for Donald Trump, and the season of fucking around is going to have to stop (I know that Trump is loving the idea of courting a gag order re: his running down the DA and judge in his Manhattan case, and I bet his attorneys would LOVE THAT FOR HIM. Also he kinda is earning it.)

And in other weird news, why hasn't he filed his financial disclosure  yet? (Truth Social is a bit of a struggle-launch, isn't it?)  He's going to be like this the whole election, isn't he? His supporters better start asking the questions that are logically piling up. And just deal with the reality that they don't really know if they are funding a campaign for president, or just the legal fees for a serial criminal

The Whacko at Waco

Oh. Ok. See, I thought he was going to be extra apocalyptic because Waco was the site where the ATF and an apocalyptic cult clashed with fatal consequences giving fuel to a right-wing anti-government militia movement exactly 30 years ago, but he was basically out there complaining about how unfair his legal troubles were and being extra pleased that he wasn't found to be demented when Ronny Jackson (R. Jack Daniels Bottle) (I guess?) and all gave him the "which one is a camel?" test a few years back.

It's possible that people around him understood the symbology, but you can't expect him to.

He did try to tell us no one ever laughed at the United States when he was president (they did though--they laughed at HIM!) and of course menaced about how we wouldn't have a country anymore if he was indicted.

Just like we wouldn't have a country if he lost the 2020 election--which he did, BIGLY! Yet here we are! Still a country. Is it possible I'm just bored? Like, I've seen every angle of his sagging burnt sienna tinted visage and just can't even find a way to hate him any more?

I mean, I still hate him. Just not, like, more
