You can see the new regime paintjob in the picture above? I see them taking out "Diversity" and "Cooperativeness" and "Compassion"--but do you also see they are taking out "Leadership", "Integrity" and the "Constitution"? This picture is well and truly worth a thousand words. This Trump Mis-Administration is a case of the baby and the bathwater getting chucked alike into a woodchipper. They are taking out things they don't like, and they don't give a fuck for what is structural or necessary.
And it really shows.
I predicted purges in the first Trump Administration--but they hadn't understood the infrastructure preventing them from fuxxoring everything up at the time. That was great--then. They figured it out, now. And now Elon the Crashing Boer the fuck Musk is sending this be-forked email, implying that government workers are "low productivity". And he's all up in the GSA base, nuking all our dudes.
I'm a civil service person. We go through periods of feast or famine work-wise depending upon demand because of changes in legislation or natural deadlines in assorted procedures that might either produce down-time or overtime, but we do necessary shit. We serve the public. A lot of what we do is customer service--and if you are frustrated by not having prompt service from your government entities--one of the problems is probably not enough of us, not too many of us.
Musk and them probably think we can be replaced by AI--and AI does not understand your questions and hallucinates answers. Also, customers hate interacting with robots. (This is something retail stores need to re-think re: self checkouts, too.) Also, do you want Skynet? Because I can't think about anything that would make a really smart machine go daft and hate people like working customer service. I've done it my whole life. I love human beings, but I have been abused for giving correct answers. I have ages worth of understanding humanity to know why people are not at fault for being mad at me if I give them bad news. I can say these people are like me--and an AI doesn't know that. I guess they could and I hope they will. Because people can get ugly.
But it's more than Leon Tusk rummaging through personnel files--it's government by Trump's whole-ass delusions--like flooding farmland in California to pretend-prove there "is so!" a spigot connecting the Pacific NW with something to do with California, even though this is stupid and has nothing to do with LA at all and is flooding RE and my God! The stupid--it BURNS!
But here's where it gets personal for me again: another air tragedy, this time in Northeast Philadelphia. A medical flight home for a kid who got lifesaving treatment in my city, whose plane went down in the neighborhood I grew up in. The Roosevelt Mall is the mall I bummed around in in the 1980s. It's a few blocks away from my Northeast High School. The emergency shelter at Fels HS. used to be a junior high where I was a freshman.
These streets are where I can tell you where some of my friends lived. That is where the plane went down. I can tell you why a person on a ring camera said "Allahu Akbar" because this means "My god!" to a Muslim. The same thing my lapsed Christian ass would say for these souls! "My God!" because we saw souls incinerated and what a horrific way to die! I went to the wedding of a friend a block from there! Born in India, a Pentecostal. This is a diverse neighborhood!
Is my city to blame for being DEI and that is why a plane went down here? Because I can already feel excuses building. Of course it is a tragedy, and nothing but--without respects to anything political.
But tragedies will happen without Continuance of Government--everything disrupted by damn fools who don't know what government even does, who pushed a great big button that says "Do not touch" and unleashed a maelstrom of avoidable dumbfuckery because they did not know who does what.
We can do better--but only with people who know better. This is an object lesson very important to take down in the dumbest timeline--the TrumpWorld 2.0. Our friend Elon is gutting necessary people. He doesn't know what they do. The Trump government is blacking out websites because of keywords not knowing what they mean.
This is an abomination. It's weaponized ignorance. I pre-hate whatever Trump will have to say from his golf course this weekend. And I want someone to figure out how unelected billionaire Musk got into all this, and is appropriately blamed and sorted,
I have such a wrath in me at the moment. Our government should not feel so chaotic and so punitive that it has no space for being effective and what OUR TAX DOLLARS PAY FOR.
It has been two weeks. Two Weeks of Trump. And it feels like forever and too much.
