A young DOGE staffer has left because the Wall Street Journal had some questions, as in, "Is this racist account you? " I'm sure Elon Musk is shocked--shocked! That there are little racist pishers in his Kekistanian domain. Wow. So exotic and not-vetted.
What's really funny about this is, when our actual confirmed Secretary of State, former US Senator and former presidential candidate Marco Rubio, made a big statement about not going to the G20 in Johannesburg:
I wanted to ask the Real President (tm) Elon Musk if this was the result of his bitch titties being in a wringer over the concept of the US confronting the Woke Mind Virus on what used to be his terf. I mean, "turf".
Of course, I do. I was just confused because the US is obviously in a transitional period and our pronouns stopped being US and seem to be he/huh! regarding Astroboy.
He's not the president that MAGA voted for, but he's what they got. Up in our databases, taking our numbers, deciding the size of the government HE thinks we deserve. Regardless of what any vetting into him might show, or what his conflicts of interest might be.
You guys, I didn't start out to hate on this man. I've been trying to get him for a while. I was almost totally on his side. Once. We're just two people diverging in a selva obscura and I, am the one who took humanities instead of sci, and that has made all the difference.
I dig that main character syndrome is just the heroic urge in public and out loud. And the tragic flaw of the hero, the thing that makes pity and fear, is generally indwelling hubris. Which means ruin. For Gilgamesh, for Achilles, for Oedipus, for Musk. I already fear for these waxy -visaged Icari--how close they are flying to the sun. But Elon is already well and truly old enough to know better, and by now should care, regardless of what kayfabe about the future he has read.
But as his racism and unresolved sexist sense of patriarchy has unfolded, the more I appreciate how much he can't represent any kind of future this world deserves. We owe a debt to the earth and our fellow man before we can earn our place among the stars. He seems to mean to pillage and plunder our resources to get there.
Without conquering our foibles first, our death wish, our parochialism, our bigotry. While seeing women as breeders and his new-found country just another host for his parasitical tendencies.
Our AI will learn from us, what we input. We are still functioning in GIGO. Too many early chatbots became racists, and too many humans still do, as well. Monkey see, monkey do. Not real critical thought, just aping along. If our own humans are no better than animals, what future do we have?
We need to overcome our deathwish, and that means someone who is a slit-eyed granny starver and HIV drug denier and would snatch the schoolbooks out of the hands of bright children who could do excellent things but were just born on the wrong continent--so just not up for the task. Any colony among the stars, let one within our solar system, you could devise would fall into "Galt's Glitch"--the failure to understand the basic level of give-a-fuckery human success requites. The reason archaeologists count the survival of grandmothers with arthritis as why we survived the stone age.
Because we protected the weak, because we valued their input. The existence of various kinds of fucking mush--boiled grains for toothless old people, is our reason for existing--also the evidence of people with badly broken but healed bones in our ancient middens. We cared for one another. That is how we do it.
Humans care for other humans. It is our saving grace from the Ice Age to now. And you try to fuck with it at our peril. And if you press too hard on the one thing that makes us--humans, great--we will perforce react. To your peril. Because we won't tolerate a villain. That, too, is about our survival.
It would be the least dangerous thing if Trump simply disavowed this guy. And he understood why, and did nothing, absolutely nothing, in return. We are less safe when a fool fucks with a world he barely recognizes. Or if Musk realized this was the wrong way to create the base for his ultimate plans. They either happen or another generation sees it through. The way people used to build cathedrals or pyramids whose grandeur they would never know in life.
Or take up the benign path of Bryan Johnson, who just wants us to eat right and get a good night's sleep and live to see another day--and many more because our lives have meaning and we deserve more of it.
Humanity deserves so much better than this vicious early 20th century sort of wrangle over Imperialism and race and money. We are human, not nations. We have value, not monetarily. We are the human race. Our diversity has been our strength.
TrumpWorld is a temporary virus. I tried to vaccinate. Now we need to deploy every immunity strategy. But recognize who our targets are. Musk--the big one. The funder, the founder, the flounder.
Big fish eat this fish.
Then canned Trump kippers.
