Just Say "Kamala", This is Taking Forever

Obvious plant Catturd cut right to the bone, here. I mean, seriously, he ate. You can free-associate how the imaginary problem of pets being eaten by people who just want to come somewhere with good-paying jobs and settle down is a "real issue", but the real issue is: are we othering Kamala Harris enough and making her the foreign person who might even eat pets herself?

Sure, it's an obvious form of faked-up concern a la the litter boxes and the on-demand sex change operations in public schools and all that. But what they are also doing is trying to make that about how immigrants and people of color are not like us--and neither is Kamala Harris. It's going from John Eastman-style "Where's the birth certificate?" to "Obama ate a dog."

Maybe she identifies more with the supposed pet-eaters? The ones that don't actually exist? Maybe she identifies with this weirdo who at least has an immigrant parent who kills local animals:

You know, we sympathize with hunters because some people really do have to hunt for their meat but the bearded jackanapes of New York is a species who can well afford to get all his food from the damn Krogers' and we aren't judging him. But if a POC is caught on camera with a bird and isn't wearing $400 worth of gear from Cabela's, they must be poaching. Which no hungry white person has ever done ever--right?

We all know what's up when we see the usual suspects--maybe?

The two-facedness of all this makes me sick. If immigrants are shooting up some food like Jed Clampett in order to be self-sufficient and not stress local social services, why is weirdo holocaust-denier follower JD Vance who was influenced by Pat Buchanan running them down?

Because it's politically expedient and he's a pathological liar?

I don't even wonder why Ted Cruz and Tom Cotton bit down hard on this thing--we know what they are--but usually, US senators and the presidential ticket like to retain a little plausible deniability, a little daylight, between some messed up ratfuckery and themselves, especially when it's this explicitly racist.

Maybe there's some fear that the bullshit to mainstream pipeline was going to be offline because of the Tenet thing?

I do not know--but watching the evolution of a mayfly emerge from out of raw racist sewerage hatch and go through its lifecycle in real time was fascinating. Will it have a robust afterlife as a poltergeist urban legend? Very probably? Isn't it incredibly sad that this is what necessarily fuels the engines of the GOP?  Lord, yes.

Bearing false witness is a bad thing. If I was a Biblical person, I would concentrate on the scripture about who is vengeance and would repay. Because blood libeling migrants puts these people in danger The calumniators don't want to think of it as a sin, but marking them for danger sure is. You can not call yourself moral if you live in a world without considering the consequences. Marking them for danger to get to a political candidate as a mere stunt though--is so shit-blooded it's off the charts.

But understanding that one of the richest men in the world spreads the same uninformed and nasty racist bullshit as some litterbox critter says something about how fucked up the "The discourse" isa among the really too-online.

Sone people out here are explicitly trash and should be called out on it. (Once again, misogyny, directed at the Vice-President and the Democratic candidate for president.) If all they can muster is lies and associations so tenuous as the be easily rejected, why start on that, and not just say what it is about her policies one doesn't like?

If rage bait and stupidity gets them further than logic will, that means logic isn't on their side. I go where the truth is. I know who the liars are.
