CPAC Is Embroiled in a Schlapp Fight

The problem with CPAC isn't whether Matt Schlapp is a closeted queer man, although it's starting to get fishy--but whether he's an abusive individual who takes advantage of others regardless of gender for his sexual gratification and is also a liar who uses organization funds for his own shit. The resignations of other CPAC officials and their claims indicate Schlapp is a problem, but I would say the other problem is the overcompensation CPAC has come to represent: The Orbanist, happily self-proclaiming "Domestic Terrorist" side of the organization.

Why are we so extreme, CPAC? Something up? Because this looks like a troubled child organization acting out because things are bad at home with their leadership.

You know what this reminds me of though? Veritas and Little Jimmy O'Keefe. Well, he used to be cute and young once, but he and Project Veritas went to pot, mostly because O'Keefe was a self-involved grifter. There always were warning signs. Right from the revelation that the ACORN nonsense was B-roll and smearing. The CNN fuckyacht? The weird wiretapping thing.  Wait, not that one, the other one. And the stolen diary

The right wing has just an awful lot of grifters. dark money slopping all over the place to support who all knows what, but they've also sometime got the little guys rooting for orgs that are fronting by whole freaks.

It's something you think the hoi polloi on the right would be more interested in--since it's their investment, too. But they don't even care if their political party is lead by a grifting pussy-grabber, so I would be obviously expecting a lot.

TWGB: Why I Don't Give A Frick About the Fricking Laptop

For some damn dumb reason, Donald Trump needed to make his daughter and her husband part of his administration. Just the way his business has always been a family business, one might say. This gave them an extraordinary opportunity to enrich themselves, while carrying out "US policy", which could, given all we know, basically mean using the US as the means to facilitate very profitable and extremely unethical relationships for themselves without respect to actual US interests or even global reputation.

This is because Trump and family don't give a shit about those things.  I have nothing but hollow, mocking laughter for people who pretend otherwise, and I'll append the phrase "And they called it 'America First'!" in the same way comedians have delivered the punchline of the infamous dirty joke: the aristocrats.

Take Don, Jr (please!).  It appears that the boy determined to be too stupid to collude when he actually received an email offering dirt on the opposition that basically said: We are from the Russian government and we're here to help you, was actively passing on methods on how to subvert the lost election and overturn it in his father's favor.  Before the election was actually called, as if he knew (because eveyone did) that his dad would lose and didn't care whether it was "rigged" or not, because of course he didn't.

Easy as ABC

Let's say you are the head of a major mainstream television news division, and you have discovered that Project Veritas has uncovered your terrible secret: you have hired human beings within your company that have (GASP!) personal viewpoints when they are off the clock and sometimes even discuss them during what they believe to be a private conversation. Keep in mind: You are a major mainstream television news and they are Project Veritas. What do you do?

The actual answer is, you should laugh at Project fucking Veritas for pretending they've uncovered media bias, for the simple fact that this is not, actually, a test of your journalism but a stunt pulled by the dildo boat asshole and his friends who are, specifically, right wing activists. They aren't out there punking OANN for nonbiased journamalism. They are up the major networks' butts for fun and profit.

Ironically, the only game Wright gave away was explaining that he and others were kept on a leash to not challenge the Trump Administration strongly for fear of appearing biased, or admit when Trump got things right.

Wright and a man identified as producer Andy Fies also discuss a bevvy of complaints about broadcast news, many of which echo widespread gripes about the horserace nature of political journalism writ large.

They had especially harsh words for their employer about its coverage of President Donald Trump, who Wright at one point refers to as "this f--king president," complaining that Trump has put news outlets in "an awkward moment" where "we can’t figure out how to challenge him."

“We don’t hold him to account,” Wright says in the video, the subtitles for which indicate that he is referring to the president. “We also don’t give him credit for what things he does do.”

Fuck. There was the opportunity to seize on that and admit to just trying too hard to please everyone for the corporate brand, and welp--promise to just try harder to hold everyone properly accountable in future, thanks for the object lesson, assholes from Project Vertas. What we see from ABC is a big company backed by a bigger company, a giant, cringing before a flea.

ABC, what does your news division stand for, that it is harassed by a wholly partisan troll organization into determining your personnel decisions for you? That feels like giving away power to those who did nothing, not one thing, to deserve it. ABC wired a part of their credibility, like so many dollars to a con artist,to dumbass activist dorks.

And it looked so easy. Easy as ABC.

Defending Liberty? Is *THAT* What They Call it?

I always called it grifting. Ah, well.

UPDATE: So, this shindig happened at the Trump International Hotel in Washington D.C. and was put on by United For Purpose. Trump donated more than a little bit to good old Project Veritas,  as did some of his main backers, the Mercers.  I couldn't find any darn thing about a group called "United For Purpose". (I don't know anything about that group--I did a search and found a "United In Purpose", but I have no idea if there's any connection.) Anyhow, Fox News' Sean Hannity and Judicial Watch got some participation trophies for fucking up mainstream media's shit, too.

O'Keefe was, in a way, humbled to the point of near-honesty:

O'Keefe appeared to acknowledge the operative was working for Project Veritas in a fundraising email after the Post's report.
“Following months of undercover work within The Washington Post, our investigative journalist within the publication had their cover blown,” O’Keefe said at the time.
“This is how undercover work goes. This isn’t the first time that has happened, and it won’t be the last time.”
Yes, folks, please send them money. They are only explicitly busted most of the time, and that's how the cookie crumbles. Otherwise, just invest in mallets to hit yourselves in the nards with. Same deal.

Ginni Thomas is, as I shouldn't neglect to point out, the spouse of SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas, and is a conservative activist, which should only trouble you if you pay attention to such things, and maybe there's reasons.  Clarence Thomas and his accuser, Anita Hill, represent how we used to talk about sexual harassment, when it was still new to do that.  I still believe Anita. And I'd still kind of like Clarence Thomas to "retire".

This is the Kind of Thing: Part Two

So, regarding the "Democratic operative" who seems to have spilled the beans about planning to bring an aura of violence to Trump rallies: Sigh, it was a former Occupy Wall Street guy. Who apparently has been conspiring to bring this bs for more than a minute, with Breitbart.com, which is where the Trump Campaign's CEO Steve Bannon comes from. Oh. So dudebros who like white privilege more than actual social and economic justice is actually a thing, and not all "Democratic" activists are actually supporters of democracy?

Huh. Good to know. Thanks, Project Veritas. We will keep this in mind. I still think the "Donald Ducks" thing is pretty funny though.  Donald Ducks showing his taxes. Heh! I don't know how many bloggers thought chicken-shit candidates should be followed by some activist in a chicken costume, but it was more than a couple. I feel like if you consider that level of campaigns-manship "too rather" for your blood, you might want to relegate your time to bingo or something.  Was this collusion or "great minds thinking alike"?

I mean really? Ducks! The Trump campaign and super-PAC probably don't want their potential involvement level similarly challenged--is the feeling I have. Such meh.

Still Being A Pimp.

I think it has been a hard week for Young James at the pimping game. He has not yet understood that pimping has to be non-egregious and if not beneficial, at least, be nontoxic to the communities it services. But he is not adept at following the simple rules of conscious pimping, Apparently.

So, let's talk about Veritas acting like a gun for hire to get an inconvenient pol (GOP) out of the way.  That is pretty interesting. Making intraparty hits could either be seen as an act of integrity, or, an in-house drive-by. That's only a little sketchy though.

But here's a slam by a Texas court over some pretend journalism trying to prove some voter fraud:

The judge dismissed a complaint that arose from an incendiary video made by O’Keefe’s organization, which purported to show illegal activity by Battleground Texas, a Democratic group that’s working to register Texans to vote. The judge acted after investigators derided the video as “little more than a canard and political disinformation.”
The news is a win for those looking to expand access to the ballot in the Lone Star State—and for state Sen. Wendy Davis, a Democratic candidate for governor there.

It's like people are seeing right though him! That pimp suit doesn't only fit the B-roll of Young James' ACORN hit piece. His life is about pimping.

TWGB: It's Raining Shoes!

It certainly has been a minute, hasn't it? So, what brings me out of self-imposed blogging exile, if not something very relevant to my...
