Pope Donald the Worst?

Just when I thought I was inured to the fly-paper tackiness of TrumpWorld, they succeed in flabbering the brutal hell out of my gaster. The above AI portrait of the prick as a pontiff honestly did get posted by the White House account on the Truth Social site, and despite the usual formulation of "disappointed but not surprised", I think I'll actually chuck this one into the "surprised but not disappointed" bin.

You see, the knob-glazers surrounding the president have run off with a passion after "buy Greenland" and "make Canada the 51st state", so why not humor yet another megalomaniac delusion of the slowly rotting Turnip-in-Chief?

I should have expected as much when Sen. Graham spoke as if Trump as Pope was a real possibility:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) suggested that the more than 230 Catholic Cardinals in the conclave “keep an open mind” about considering President Donald Trump for the papacy.

“I was excited to hear that President Trump is open to the idea of being the next Pope,” Graham posted Tuesday on X. “This would truly be a dark horse candidate, but I would ask the papal conclave and Catholic faithful to keep an open mind about this possibility! The first Pope-U.S. President combination has many upsides. Watching for white smoke…. Trump MMXXVIII!”

Graham showed support for the idea after President Trump was asked by a reporter if “he had anyone in mind” to succeed Pope Francis after he died at the age of 88.

People assumed he was joking. Nay, nay. He was planting seeds.

A Little TrumpWorld Idolatry for Your Sunday Services

This feels unhealthy to me, but of course, it's parked right there at Trump International Golf Course now, because why not? It's a Trump property, and if he wants to decorate with assorted artworks promoting the man, the myth, the legend, I guess that's his business. It's just that when he does stuff like this,

it's hard not to feel like he's sending a very political message:

The White House moved the official portrait of former President Barack Obama to a new location in the building’s Grand Foyer, replacing it with a painting of President Donald Trump with his fist raised in the air right after last year’s assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The portrait appears to be based on a photo of then-candidate Trump, bloodied and surrounded by Secret Service agents, still onstage after being shot at the campaign event. That image, along with Trump’s words to “fight, fight, fight,” became a hallmark of Trump’s bid for a second term.

"Appears to be"? Of course it is.  Trump didn't just suddenly find himself like a martyr, you know. His cult believes that what didn't kill him made him stronger

A TrumpWorld Cabinet of Curiosities

Pictures often are worth a thousand words--take a look at the picture above of Elon Musk, standing, not seated at the table, while Donald Trump is not even at the head of the table, but slumped, unnoticed by anyone, apparently drifting off to sleep. Just a podgy senior citizen with his hands in his lap, while everyone is listening to the real boss, who has not even bothered to put on a suit for the occasion but is dressed, as he generally is, like some close approximation an adolescent might make at adult clothing. He threw on a big-boy jacket over his play-clothes.

It's not exactly The Last Supper, but what if I told you one of these folks assembled would betray Trump and every last one of them had eaten of his body and blood?

We are getting on to a political Carnival. Lent for you, and Fat Tuesday for rich motherfuckers forever, so I felt like sprinkling a little Catholic consciousness over the above tableau. Also, I am very, very mean.

I thought to myself when I perused Twitter's commentariat regarding the first cabinet meeting that what we were looking at was a Dunning-Kruger Group Therapy session where no one realized what their problem was and no one was getting any better.

Remarkable! Or, The Perpetual Trump Gluteal Osculation Machine

Sean Duffy, a reality TV star, Fox News guy, former US Congressman, now Department of Transportation guy, said Trump's leadership has been "remarkable".  Being on "Road Rules" qualifies you for DOT because "roads". It is known. And "remarkable" certainly is a word.

It doesn't have to mean "remarkably good"--and it doesn't. Maybe he meant it that way.

But it was "remarkable" in the sense of being appallingly racist, sexist, stupid and self-inflating. A projection of blame onto other people as both a deflection and a cover-up for suborned insecurity. Duffy has his ass to kiss, and he did fine.

And I don't care, because what followed was astonishingly typical and horrific. Trump blamed DEI (which seems to mean "people of color" in Trump's mind) and Biden for what happened, because he wants to speculate about who to blame and is uniquely incapable of either knowing his role or shutting his hole.

On behalf of Generation X, I apologize for Sean Duffy. Being a sell-out Boomer ass-kisser was certainly a choice, and one he didn't have to make. I guess that's just the way the Reality Bites. Some of us still keep it real, though--and here's my opinion on Trump.

Nailed It!

The triumphal return of Trump to Butler, Pa, the scene of his would-be assassination, is best understood through kitsch. Everything about him is. He is a Lord of Misrule, and  his feast days are necessarily cringe. They feature things like a description of how he died.

Yep, he died. The songless Joe Hill of the owner class entirely died at Butler, PA.

Miraculously, he was shot in the head and the bullet struck exactly nothing that Trump ever used or needed. Halllujah and maranatha!

TWGB: It's Raining Shoes!
