That Answers That Question

I had wondered in the previous post about the following:

Also, and this is important: the way Kennedy speaks about eliminating exposure to a "cause" of autism makes me very concerned about what he thinks about autistic people, that the people expressing aspects of the autism spectrum are broken or less-than.

Well as to that, say no more:

Visiting the FDA on Friday, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had several “off -the-cuff” remarks which stunned many staffers present, according to a POLITICO report.

            ****

The most insulting comment, however, came when he used an ableist slur when discussing mental health.

“Because of my family’s commitment to these issues, I spent 200 hours ... with the r------d when I was in high school,” Kennedy said at one point. “So I was seeing people with intellectual disabilities all the time. I never saw anybody with autism.”

Okay, scratch that, because maybe I do have a bit more to say about that.

TrumpWorld Kakistocracy 3: Ill Health and Inhumane Services

Lil' Bobby Kennedy is a sad ass conspiracy theorist. I feel bad about what happened to his namesake, you know? But this weird man would be some freak with a sandwich board climbing up on a soapbox in the park if his last name wasn't Kennedy.

He wants to do away with fluoride for the sake of our precious bodily fluids.  This was a ridiculous John Birch Society joke in the goddamned 1960s--how in the hell is it a real thing in the mind of this milkweed seed eyed-motherfucker here in the 21st century?

"Unity" Trump and the New Attitude

As the pundits were desperately hoping for--Ecce Homo: the Man Reborn,  who was definitely not going to ramble on, self-pityingly, spitefully, mockingly, calling Nancy Pelosi crazy while once again referring to the tragic assault on her husband, referring to the "China virus" in a way that has inspired racist animosity against Asian people, degrading the discourse as you know....

He always does. Was he supposed to change, now? After all this time? On his biggest stage, he gave an extended-play version of his regular rally speech, with a cameo from our old friend the "late, great Hannibal Lector" and a wistful concern that Kim Jong-Un misses him.

I'm only mildly surprised we were spared his feelings about the water pressure in his toilets.

Biden is old. Sure. He gets tired. Sure. He gets tongue-tied. And then there are the things that deliberately come out of Donald Trump's sewer of a mouth.

Was there anything upbeat at all in his speech to the RNC, coming after the brilliant use of the lead-up by showcasing the values of the current party as represented by Kid Rock, Hulk Hogan and Dana White?

Well, there was a shout-out to Tom Homan, a former Trump Administration official who is a significant contributor to Heritage Foundation's Project 2025--which we were not supposed to think about as being the Trump Agenda except for being constantly reminded of it. But then again, Trump also gave a shout-out to Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin, who is "doing a great job". At what, I'd bet you two ham sandwiches you could not say. Does Trump think he's still governor?

TWGB: State of Mind-Bad. Looks Bad.

There was a lot of legal stuff to do with TrumpWorld yesterday, not even including the five-minutes-under-the-wire Trump legal response to the request for a protective order, but honestly, I'm not seeing the point in going over all that in detail. I mean, it's official--Trump's counterclaim against E. Jean Carroll was dismissed.  His writ of mandamus against Fani Willis is dismissed.

You can't cover everything. Trump's got five cases in the next nine months, and I bet that feels like he's about to give birth to quintuplets. And tracking all the side characters like Bernie Kerik (turning over docs), Giuliani (selling his house), John Eastman (asking for his disbarment proceedings to be postponed because he's getting indicted)....whew! I'm petty, but I just can't be that kind of compleatist.

But I am the kind of petty to point out that Dark Brandon is definitely in Trump's head based on yesterday's court filing. Apparently, the touting of the campaign merch is supposedly tweaking Trump based on his recent indictment. So says the Trump team.

Yeah. He's here to eat ice cream and put you in prison and he's all out of ice cream, jack.

It's absurd. Of course, it has nothing to do with Trump, but that his lawyers put it in there suggests it was on the client's mind. In the just the way his lawyers have to always be on the various chat shows, because if they aren't on television, how does Trump even know they are working? Of course, he wants to try this, and all of his cases, in the court of public opinion and make them political spectacles.

It's both legally and politically questionable. But he's welcome to it. If it helps his obviously concerned state of mind.

UPDATE: I'm just going to throw this down here, but I really think I like Judge Chutkan. She ordered the sides to get their act together by Friday to discuss the protective order--Friday. And the DOJ said, "Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, we're good." And Trump's lawyers thought it would be funny to say "How's next week?"

So she said, "Fine. 10 AM Friday."  And now they should understand whose court this is.

RFK Jr. Does a Fascism

I know he's just having an issue with the Secret Service regulations in part determined after the assassination of his own father, and I stand in recognition that some candidates, like Barack Obama, absolutely needed early Secret Service coverage. I don't know why Bob thinks he needs it. Is he a serious candidate yet? Is he subject to unique threats? But it's the funny old 14-days and the 88-days that throws me.

In my part of the internets, we notice patterns like signifying numerology.  Is it really 14 days since any old thing, and 88 days of no response? Or did some media idiot new hire think this was cute and no one would notice? Was it funny to some dumbass with their fingers on RFK Jr's socials to think flirting with 1488 was cool? Because that wins you exactly zero votes in a Democratic primary. And if RFK Jr himself is responsible for it, wow. The more fucked up thing about anti-Semitism is you.

Anyway, my take on RFK Jr and his being a whole signifying racist is he's responsible for himself, and no one else is. I wish he would take a beat and figure out how all this is wrong, but he isn' t likely to.

I don't think he started off as a bad person. How folks go this way just bothers the shit out of me.

TWGB: It's Raining Shoes!

It certainly has been a minute, hasn't it? So, what brings me out of self-imposed blogging exile, if not something very relevant to my...
