TWGB: Spooky Season

Trump might be able to dictate the GOP House Speaker Race from the courthouse where he is being civilly tied for fraud, and not just whether he is a fraud, but exactly what size he actually is, but what he has no control over is what people who no longer feel beholden, threatened, or fucked up by him say aloud. Trump is big mad he can't tell Mark Meadows what to say. He used to be able to do that. He can't anymore. He's messing up the stay of his federal gag order with his own sense of inviolability--immunity from any orders at all.

And he got hit with another $10K fine for running his mouth in New York.

He can't influence what Cheseboro, Powell and now Jenna Ellis say anymore. They have to live their lives and face a "morning after". They can't stay beholden to the idea that Trump has been a benefactor for them when he has enmired them in legal culpability. That has to be spooky for Trump. How do you counter the ire of people who are growing cognizant you got them into the fix they are in?

He can try to delay judgement for what he did in a lot of ways. But that all it is: delaying.  Looking for a reprieve he doesn't deserve because he stays unrecognizing of the harm he did to our democracy.

Does it get worse from here: oh, yeah!  he might count on his own personal wealth such as it is and many willing benefactors to dig him out of his holes for a long while, but not indefinitely. And when people around him start to be forthcoming, that's when it starts to look bad for him. Why are Trump's lawyers so culpable--because he was their client? And he asked them to lie for him or break laws for him?

Yeah. Take the Michael Cohen testimony on Trump's civil trial. The one he stormed out of when it came down to brass tacks--if Michael Cohen did illegal things for Trump and lied, in part he was lying for Trump and likely because Trump said so. Trump even took the stand to talk about whether he was trying to tamper with the process--witness tampering, or tampering with court officials. The judge thought he lied.

It's a very spooky season for Trump and something he has rarely experienced in his life--accountability: BOOOOO!!
