Once upon a time, in a far-off land called TrumpWorld, a would-be king promised there would be "so much winning" that people would get bored of winning. I still don't know what that means, and I've studied it like it was my job. It sounds like something a conman would say. But lately--there has not been a lot of winning. One term, two impeachments, three marriages, four indictments, five deferments, six bankruptcies (six point drop after missing the first GOP primary 2024 debate), seven trials, probably going on eight (Arizona? Michigan?) or even nine.
The losers for August 30th include Pete Navarro, who can't claim executive privilege that Trump didn't claim for him and will go to trial in a whole minute for contempt. He seems to have thought Trump won in 2020, (or alleged to), but the sign held up behind him reminds us Trump most certainly did not. And any rational person would realize that, by the utter lack of Trump in the White House right now. Navarro tried to wrest the sign away from the protester and was advised he was on camera and you know.
Loser.
Another loser of the day? Rudy Giuliani, once called "America's Mayor" because, shit, the early 2000's sucked. He lost his defamation case against two election workers (who were determined to be blameless) because he defaulted by not providing discovery materials, claiming he was too broke to do so. Is he? Tough shit. He has to pay sanctions, legal fees, and is still on the hook for eventually ponying up requested docs. See--it sort of looks like obstruction.
Giuliani said he struggled to maintain his own access to his electronic records – partly because of the cost – and didn’t adequately respond to subpoenas for information from Moss and Freeman as the case moved forward.
“Perhaps he has made the calculation that his overall litigation risks are minimized by not complying with his discovery obligations in this case,” Judge Beryl Howell of the US District Court in Washington, DC, wrote Wednesday. “Whatever the reason, obligations are case specific and withholding required discovery in this case has consequences.”
This dickhead spread lies about regular, not-wealthy people that endangered them for what? Being Trump's pro bono and unpardoned lawyer isn't working out great for him. No sympathy. (Also, was he counseling while really drunk? Because Trump shouldn't have taken advice from a guy who never seems to be sober--you think?)
Loser.
And let's give Trump his flowers for probably being the biggest loser--Letitia James has recommended summary judgement in his civil trial in NY regarding his business frauds, because it can be demonstrated that he has overstated his net worth for the purpose of defrauding banks and insurance companies. This comes after such institutions were barred from withholding this information because they'd feel like such utter saps for letting us know what he took them for. (Shh, shh, babies, the bad orange man took you for quite the ride. He's not too big to fail. Get in with your suit before the getting is IMPOSSIBLE.)
We know! Mr. Trump told us he was worth $10 BIILLLYON when he filed for the presidency. And we know in real estate, sometimes values are JUST VIBES. It's a really contestable thing. I mean, his losses in the 1990's and the carry-forwards, though....(I mean really!) And that's why he's reliant on foreign banks and needs PAC money to pay his legal fees. And that's why MAGA email inboxes are always blowing up.
Anyone EVER get a dinner with Trump though? Do you really think 9X matching is a thing? Are they still doing the autopay monthly thing you have to "X" out of?
I dunno. But here's a toast to the losers. Maybe winning would be boring--but this is not.

'Loser' is good. 'Punk' is better.
Did he lay hands on that gal?
Maybe something should be done about that ...
