TWGB: Trump is Immuno-Compromised

Claims of executive privilege and presidential immunity have been something like Citizen Trump's "Rosebud"--they represented a fantasy of unaccountability and lack of responsibility that might just afford an old crook some peace of mind, and that specter of hope has now been taken away. Someone of course will have to pay for this--and it will be his little rubes. When he goes sniveling that "they" (the Deep State, Biden, black hats--whatever) have singled him out, maybe they won't consider this:

Why is Trump the only president who ever had to make this case regarding immunity? Over 200 years of presidents, and not one had this problem. Maybe they were all previously completely capable of doing the job without just rolling in criminality. Trump apparently is not, because this is how he lives his life.

It's a thought!

However, in TrumpWorld, Trump can only be failed. That's why it was time again for another really futile and stupid gesture on the part of Matt Gaetz et als.  Marjorie Taylor Greene took up the spotlight in explaining:

"And then when Joe Biden was inaugurated, and this entire Capitol complex was surrounded with 30,000 National Guard troops, none of you stood there and called that an insurrection. No, you all stayed silent."

God damn. She's right. When Joe Biden was inaugurated because he was the lawful winner of the 2020 election, and duly constituted authority were placed as security at the inauguration in case Trump and Marge's little friends started trouble again, no one DID call that perfectly lawful act an "insurrection". Will the wonders of correct syntax never cease?

Matt Gaetz summed up their resolution as follows:

If the co-conspirators want to pose as victims--that will carry a lot of weight said a co-conspirator! Fascinating! Good luck with all that (not) you big galoot!  I'm guessing some folks realized that if Trump was royally screwed, anybody who had been looking for a pardon was possibly screwed in the event of Trump not crawling back into the White House on account of being otherwise detained.

I don't think it will have any weight with SCOTUS, in other words. They should really give this a pass.

Anyway, Trump's Johnson didn't deliver on the standalone Israel thing (to avoid reckoning with giving aid to Ukraine which would be the correct thing to do in the broader national interest if a good part of the TrumpWorld set hadn't begun absorbing Putin's goals) and the Mayorkas impeachment vote failed, too. Counting votes is hard. It was a dramatically dumb day for the Republican Moses. I truly doubt, however, it will be his dumbest day. There is so much more dumb in store for him, he has no idea.

Because he's also dumb. I'm spelling that out in case he's ever reading this. For MTG: that is D.U.M.B. The "B" is kind of silent. Just like the soft "c" in "indictable".  You're welcome. That's a contraction. "You" plus an apostrophe "re" for "are". Feel free to take notes with whatever toes you write with in whatever your first language is.

I don't doubt that there will be more in the impeaching Mayorkas front just like there will be more on the Hunter Biden front--it's a lot like watching turtles fucking shoes videos on YouTube. I don't know why. It seems to make the turtles happy.

You know who probably isn't happy? Ronna Not-Romney--she tendered her resignation as was written in the Trump bus schedule. I could wish her potential replacement luck but of course not, and they won't have any, anyway.

They lack immunity for Teh Stupid. And for accountability.

Never forget Gaetz and his Republican co-conspirators were live tweeting the location of Nancy Pelosi and other real time intel to the Capitol Inusrrectionists. And Gaetz is not the Victim, he's a suspect, like Josh Hawley and the other 147+ elected Republicans who after the Insurrectionists waltzed out of the Capitol Building, arms raised in Triumph, voted to steal the election for President Biden. The victim in this is the American People and We, the People have only received partial justice thus far with the arrest and convictions of 1000 or so other suspects.

We seem to have devolved to the point where, despite the crystal clear language of the appellate court ruling, I fear there's a dangerously high chance that the supreme court may manage to find a way dance around this issue and not really answer what seems a pretty clear yes or no question because it's Trump in the stocks and Biden in the oval office.

Elected Republicans can't even perform the most basic attempt to separate themselves from the 1/6-ers: the claims that they are "political hostages" etc. are, IMHO, giving aid and comfort to insurrectionists. Stefanik, Greene, Gaetz--they make pretty clear where they stand on the subject and the media fails in depicting the situation in the stark terms it needs to be: Are you with them--or our constitutional government? Are we a nation of laws--or just mem, and not especially good ones at that?
