Something very stupid happened today: Donald Trump as a candidate for POTUS had a hearing before the Supreme Court of the United States as to whether he was eligible to stand for president having participated in an insurrection against the US government, while the current US president, his opponent in that year, was exonerated of a charge regarding keeping classified documents but got some backhanded BS from a partisan Republican Special Counsel about being old with a bad memory.
So, of course, the discourse on the socials is about the latter, not the former.
To put things into perspective for me, I selected photos of both guys at my age (roughly) and they look terrible. (I'm not going to drop a selfie but I'm not looking my age--I'm fat but not old.) Neither settled into their 50-something hairlines with grace. Trump's eyebrows were always bad, but at least this was before he applied his makeup with a wet turd. One is thinking, the other, mid-talking. It looks about right.
Does that seem shallow? Bitches please! I'm seeing people talk about whether Biden is a gaffe machine when he's been one since he was younger than me. He has always BEEN confusing names and whatnot, but getting off deep one-liners. And Trump has always been a crook.
And Biden has been a good president and Trump has not. One is treasonous, and one is not. One said he wanted the Proud Boys to stand back and stand by, and praised the thugs at Charlottesville, and one defends and raises up minority people on the basis of their excellence. I can see the difference and it's getting better all the time.
I don't know what the hell the mainstream media sees. Opportunities to punch the guy who malaprops Sisi but not the one who says Orban was leader of Turkey. They both fuck up. Only one tries to accuse Nancy Pelosi of insurrection--trying to accuse an opponent of the very disqualifying thing he was being judged for by SCOTUS that very day. The person (Pelosi) who is on video trying to raise the National Guard in other states via Democratic governors and who had no reason to make an insurrection: her guy won in 2020! Versus the guy who sat on his ass and didn't even want to make a statement to ameliorate things.
How crazy is that? Because my head says it is so very crazy and yet it totally happened?
It gets weirder; the same day in Brazil, Bolsonaro is being probed for his attempted coup. Damn it all to hell, what would you know about that? Except Trumps were good friends with him.
I don't know what gets everyone perspective, but the media that concentrates on a Biden gaffe and not his perspective on whether Israel has gone too far and says the former is the notable takeaway from his comments earlier is indictable. That Trump doesn't get the same senior speculation, possibly due to his Earl Shibe fake tan and all, is frustrating.
Your real problem is Biden has to work harder to please the mainstream media bitches and Trump gets stroked by the media like a celebrity even when he is a dumb, corrupt SOB. That isn't objectivity. That's a whole ass lie we need to confront--91 charges and the bitchass media is not a problem. Why? Why isn't Mueller (which didn't exonerate) and all not still a problem? Why is this comparison not of Hyperion to a satyr?
From my little dumb D-list blogger perspective, the people who sit up doing White House journalism are sick motherfuckers if they make like Trump and Biden are the same deal. And from where I sit, they seem to do just that. Biden is lawful good. Trump is chaotic evil. There is no comparison.
UPDATE: Is it just possible that Biden is aware of all memes?
