Guiliani and the TrumpWorld Rabbit Hole

You know, the Mother Jones piece on Giuliani being the subject of a whistleblower investigation regarding whether he either knowingly or unwittingly became a laundromat for Russian disinformation against Joe Biden really takes me back to exactly when any rational person would have thought this was happening in 2019, when the first impeachment was going on. If you think about TrumpWorld a lot, and I do, you really only find yourself going "Dmitry Firtash or Pavel Fuchs?"

See, the difference between a Trump fan rabbit hole and a Trump scholar rabbit hole is knowing where the rabbits actually are, having seen the rabbits. The Trump fan rabbit hole is where one just keeps digging. To be a little less circumspect in the discourse, Lev Parnas remembers, and he would know: Giuliani would listen to anyone who would say something bad about Biden, even if it was false. We've known for years now that Giuliani was trying to dig up/create a false impression for Trump's 2020 re-election. He didn't care who it came from.

You know, just like the 2016 Trump campaign didn't care where Wikileaks got their DNC hack stuff from. All fun and games until it becomes a national security issue:

Which it is--Trump is manifestly unfit, and the divisions created in the body politic by his conspiracy-theory-addled fan club is fucking killing us. (5G warfare, you guys, as described by someone who is writing about the very shit he disseminates. Almost like providing an "inoculation" to being debunked by already introducing his audience to the ideas that he fucked them up with. Dia-fucking-bolical.)

And Republicans ignore the national security issue because smearing Democrats is more important to them than even caring whether they are right or even hurting the country to the benefit of bad international actors. Which has been my point for what? Just a really long time, now.  Thus, Durham and James Comer. Just two smol beans on a Russian cat's paw.

And so on. But see, where it came from matters. First because if it's not true, why flog it, even for political purposes? That's a goddamn lie, dirty pool, a pox on your entire house, and why you shouldn't have nice things. But second because; if you want to believe a lie someone else has given you--ask why? Are they trying to manipulate you to some fell purpose? Do they have an agenda? The liars aren't nice little helpy sprites who want to brighten your day--

Once and forever again: does anyone think people associated with Putin want Trump in office because he's GOOD for the United States? (And FWIW--why do the Commie-haters like Kim Jong-Un's good buddy? There's a place with real Christian persecution, for example. See?)

Trump's trash but all the people who want to incorporate foreign slander and disinfo into our politics in place of discussing ideas and values are just trash magnified.  And Giuliani, Trump's Renfield, can just go ahead and eat bugs.

And here I always assumed the "rabbit hole" was a callout to the way Alice entered Wonderlanf - down a rabbit hole.

IOW - an alternate reality.
