I'm not sure what he was groaning about. Maybe he finally realized that no one wants him to park his fat ass in the Oval Office...
In a padded nutshell, in one of those nice jackets that doesn't allow him to harm himself, so he can live with himself for the rest of his life.
Any other candidate for office previously, a clip like this would make people simply think--"Very unfit, undisciplined and without self-control." But the MAGA fan club sees him as entertainment--he doesn't have to have a professional standard. And what he's doing looks like a bit...but I've never really accepted it as a bit. Some people think Trump captivates as a performer because he's "discovered something"--like the way he tells obvious mistruths or misspells things in social media an it gets tons of attention.
I don't think it's on purpose, even if people around him can use it. I think we actually have a weird infotainment/social media feedback mechanism that just happens to synergize with his own unique personality disorder. A "perfect storm" you could say.
