On the same day it is reported that he received limited immunity to testify in the documents case against Trump, Kash Patel calls for defunding the FBI and DOJ. pic.twitter.com/BQ7mbeV4FJ

Defund the federal police? So much for law and order!
Kash Patel is a TrunpWorld creature. He won't be a very forthcoming witness against Trump. and will likely test the limits of his limited immunity based on the things his toady-ass won't say.
So what else do we know about TrumpWorld--besides they settled over abusing protesters? Because the voir dire process kept showing that regular folks hated Trump so much they couldn't sit on a jury. Because they hated him. So much.
In other TrumpWorld exploits, we see Kari Lake, Qanon flake, campaigning with Bannon.
The historical references were flying in Arizona on Tuesday night:

Yuck. The only reason she has her lane is because she can stupidly, smoothly, blandly in a deep mature woman voice tell people maybe Trump won and maybe Democrats eat babies. She is a polished turd who is lying her playing for time ass off. Fuck her entire turd polished face and camera lens. But more than that fuck Bannon for scraping bottom like this. If you want to be a general of a movement, pick better lieutenants who aren't gobbling imbeciles.
So what about twits like Bolduc in NH?
NEW: Don Bolduc- only to @NBCNews says the school he accused of using litter boxes for children who identify as animals needs to "prove" the claim wrong.

Even Joe Rogan relented on this stupidity. Does Trumpism literally mean sticking with any lie, no matter how dumb? Being a conspiracy dumbass for yucks? Being someone no one should take seriously?
I mean, maybe?
After all, TrumpWorld's Michigan candidate is all about the blood libel. That is obviously some signifying bullshit.
These aren't good candidates for office, they aren't reality-accepting people, they don't have real-world plans. but they are loyal to Trump. And they also live in a completely batshit alternate universe. Which also is sketchy and sometime extremely bigoted.
If you wanted a good overview of Trumpism--you don't need to look any further than who he inspires.

It is all about bullying. If you can bully someone into repeating your lie in public, you have established dominance over them. This is what Trump has done ten thousand times, and it has now been internalized as a standard way that Republicans have to prove their submission to their masters: repeat my lies or you will be cast into the pit.
In a somewhat related question, how did it become accepted that people who served in high government positions can plead the fifth amendment about their behavior without being shunned by every decent person in the country? It is apparently worse these days to say that it's nice to have some kitties on campus than it is to refuse to say what you know about open treason.
There is an entire book to be written about why Republicans believe dumb lies--and Greg Sargent wrote a pretty good post at WaPo the other day on this. It is bullying: We reject your reality and replace it with our own. It is tribalism: these are the articles of faith; the belief in things not seen. And also: we say these shitty things because they own the libs.
I would call birtherism and voter fraud myths the best examples of these. There is no plausible way, living in the real world, that one can plausibly think for real that a person was born in Kenya and somehow became a US Senator, and no one noticed, or that umpteen thousands of people vote illegally across the fifty states every election and no one ever caught it when randos voting on behalf of their dead momma get picked up with a quickness. Some beliefs are obviously to be taken "seriously, not literally". They are post-factual.
I have chosen to answer the "lying or dumb" question, however, with "dumb as a MF". If lying in other folks' face is about bullying, then whether or not fact-checking or lecturing do any therapeutic good is moot, the answer is simple: If someone says they believe obviously untrue shit, treat them as if they are as dumb as a MF.
If a Trumper says something untrue: if you believe that you are just dumb as a MF. And they lost the high road because they endorse violence, too. If a Trumper wants to be pious about how they think litter boxes in schools makes Baby Jesus cry, they better spit Jesus' name out of their lying Trump fellating mouths.
Some Trumphat just firebombed a donut shop for hosting a drag show. And they want to pretend antifa is burning down stuff? Receipts like CVS about their mess all day, every day.
