Vice-President Kamala Harris is Underestimated

For what it's worth, CNN has a story on the Harris vice-presidency that I can not discourage you from reading, but encourage reading with a grain of salt because the network has also decided to raise the profile of "former" TrumpWorld denizen Chris Christie, as if we don't know they are already thinking about 2024 right now in the midst of President Biden's first damn year.

Harris, as a US Senator, served on the Intelligence, Judiciary, and Homeland Security and Governmental affairs committees. She isn't in any respects under-prepared and the light-weight chuckleheads who talked about her supposed accent failed to note she actually speaks some French and also that their claims are wildly exaggerated because they are actually being basic bitches.

She has about as much experience as Barack Obama when he became president, and she is not less personable because she is female. She is less personable to people who are less embracing of her other exceptional qualities and need to create electoral drama about a post-Biden primary we are not even looking at yet. They are giving her Hillary Clinton-style hits, and I despise this routine. This demand that women be judged on a scale so unprecedented when the men who came before them were given a handshake in comparison.

And this infuriates me. I remember how mad I was when she had to end her 2020 primary candidacy because people did not grasp why she deserved their investment. President Biden fully understands her value, because he chose her for his running mate. His commitment to diversity isn't what his choice to support her was about though--it was faith that she gets the rigors of the job, and can do the damn job of being president if it came to that.

Now, as to CNN and Chris Christie:

This was the moment Mr. Trouble in Fort Lee laughed a little too hard at the Boss's joke. Hahahahahahaha. I will never believe he isn't there in the 2024 mix for some reason other than to split the not-Trump contingent to let Trump win again and if CNN wants to give him coverage and blow up his spot, they need to grasp what the damage could be. Christie is a creature.

Harris is and will be the real deal.

Just like the drama over Biden's approval while he tries to work with congress to get his agenda passed despite great poll numbers for the things actually in these bills is manufactured, I think Harris' shortcomings are manufactured.  I really think cable news is putting their thumb on the scales and nope--not in a way that benefits the Democratic Party at all. They are keeping the insurrectionist and book-burning party afloat, though.

There is no good reason for that.

UPDATE:

Right. Christie is open about how Trump led to the insurrection and acknowledges the mistakes Trump made, but damnit, he can't quit him because party first. Even over the security of our country. That's not a new direction, that's selling books.  There is nothing there to celebrate.
