Some folks do like to tell stories on themselves, or even all the time. It seems like a sign of insecurity.
If I seem to come back to the shrill, hyperbolic Fox News host more than a little, it's because I find him a uniquely repellent propagandist. He also engages in "accuse others of what you are doing" style tactics. But just because someone is fake and has no values doesn't mean that can't be effective at the nasty work they do.
