Trump loves the sound of his own voice like Narcissus loves his own reflection, but then, Narcissus had a pretty face. Trump, on the other hand, loves the sound of his own voice when it slides naturally out of his mouth and is filtered through his asses' ears, but when his words are thrown back to him, how he recoils! Did he ever ask suburban women to like him, or threaten to lock up his political opponents? How obscene! (How true, though.)Lesley Stahl: Are you ready for some tough questions?

President Trump: You’re going to be fair?
Lesley Stahl: . . . I’m going to be fair.
President Trump: Just be fair. https://t.co/BO7gydYPwL pic.twitter.com/pGH9fDfwpL
Under tough, but fair! questioning, Trump eventually stalked away when confronted with the idea that the stories reporters tell should be true. How dare Lesley Stahl not be a star of the Trump show, rather than he be a subject of a "60 Minutes" interview (which has never been promised to be softball). How the hell should he be subject to the indignity of seeing himself not as he is seen through the Fox News or OANN lens, but as almost anyone else sees him? What profane tongue-magics were Stahl using: no way to talk?
And isn't that just a little bit of a sign he's not tempered in the heat of a refining fire, but loses his temper like so much dross?
Was that not a display of a tantrum-y toddler?
But one must imagine Sissypants happy, anyway, having rolled the boulder of his ego up the hill of personal limelight again. Whether it comes crashing down in confrontation with reality is the burden he accepted--even if he doesn't seem aware that it would happen. Of course, he knew exactly what he was walking into, and behaved exactly as he wanted to be seen as behaving, as an adult would, as a person meant to be a leader of others would, and not as a cursed shade just doing the same dumb thing again and again would. (Of course, of course?)
All I can say is Trump sure doesn't look happy, but strikes me as absurd because he does believe in nothing, and having the ability to do better, absolutely chooses not to. He has been in office four years and treated adversity as a personal grievance, not as a meaningful threat to anything but that silly little boulder he pushes about. Not as a threat to us--real people.
He is no hero. He rescues no one but himself in his own eyes. And sycophants help him along.
But he got his attention? And he can even spin negative attention into his narrative of "fake news".
He may be happy. We shouldn't be.
