It’s with a full heart that I share this news—I’m suspending my campaign for president.

To my team, supporters, and everyone who gave me a shot—thank you. I am so proud of what we built, and I feel nothing but faith in what we can accomplish together. pic.twitter.com/Fxvc549vlJ
Along with Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Julian Castro, Booker was one of the candidates that I felt positive would make it through Iowa--only, that was way before the primary got started. Sigh. Is it possible that a candidate can fail to catch fire for just being too positive and heckin' nice? Because I feel like Booker is one of those people who doesn't have a public persona/private persona divide and is just actually like that, and really? Maybe we can get politics like that back again, someday.
I mean, not today, no. But someday.
