Trump's Ukraine/Russia Delusions Do Not Go Unnoticed

Trump's kiss-up, punch down bully philosophy really shows in this nugget from Friday--but it's pure Kremlin propaganda. A few years ago, we were hearing from Tucker Carlson that Russia just wanted some space because they were feeling threatened by their neighbor, whom they already been at war with. In what way is Ukraine "picking on" Russia? By defending itself? By having done so successfully?

But this is just a little bit of this week's weird double-speak--here's part of Trump's social media stupidity:

It's not actually true. At a point when, if there were about to be honest negotiations, it would be extremely important for this Administration to be clear on the intelligence regarding Ukraine's actual military situation--Trump has, essentially, got the matter fucked up.

For obvious reasons (I think Russia has owned Trump for years and he made Tulsi flipping Gabbard his DNI) I think this is a horrible sign.

Also pretty bad? Trump is still on about denying the "Russian hoax" (which never was!) instead of forgetting it and letting it lie and seems to be taking dictation from Moscow. He's shutting down VOA and disparaging our free press (to "Benny Rubles"'s admiration):

Spreading Russian propaganda or failing to counterprogram it is a horrifically stupid choice given the kind of war Putin is waging with the West, where the battlefield seems to be truth itself. I want to believe you can no more fight truth than gravity--but man, you can certainly work against it for a good long while with enough energy on your side.

So Trump is going to pretend that he's got the makings of peace and is even looking to rescue Ukraine, while Putin has basically laughed in his face about the 30-day ceasefire, adding conditions that are by no means acceptable, making envoy Witkoff wait and sending him off empty-handed. Trump sidelined General Keith Kellogg at Russia's request, apparently.

There's no incentive Trump has created to make Putin play nice--not his play-fierce blather about sanctions and "tariffs" (What trade to we have with Russia? Caviar? I mean, what?) And he still can't bring himself to be open-eyed about the idea that Putin is the actual bad guy here.

DOGE has the US cutting a program to find Ukrainian kids kidnapped by the genocidal Russia invader. What does that even say about our priorities--or whether we even have any?

And where is Jealous Dipstick Vance in all of this? Delusional:

He famously said he doesn't care one way or the other what happens to Ukraine, but this is sure to be his steppingstone to history?  A whole country's plight exists to elevate him, perhaps?

Two of them-both delusional. I try to manage my expectations, but I expect little more from them than I do toddlers that have eaten an anchovy pizza and washed it down with milk of magnesia.

Just so much thin shit.

Remember this: it’s only their rules of law and their version of events that counts. The Constitution is so much toilet paper now.

It's Especially NOT Funny Because It's True
