Red Flag Warning--Who Are They Working For?

You know, if there are GOP congresscritters who are spouting Russian propaganda (and OMG--there sure are!) maybe we should pay attention to what legislative activity they also seem to be doing on behalf of Russia.

When Marjorie Taylor Greene talks about Ukraine like NATO invaded it and they are Nazi or anti-Christian, she is directly aping Putin, and what she is saying is pure lies-shouldn't we be very interested in where this fool, who has yakked about Jewish space lasers and spread Q nonsense, gets her information?

Maybe we should be more curious about why Scott Perry believes Ukraine shouldn't be supported because they can't win. I truly want to know where Tommy Taterhead is getting his extreme nonsense POV from. He seems to have Ukrainian public servants confused with Russian oligarchs.

TWGB: The Hot Stove Lessons of Democracy

A couple of days ago, one of the insurrectionists sometimes called "Pink Hat Lady" (government name: Rachel Powell) took to Twitter to complain of her treatment.  She has apparently spent the last three years barefoot and mooning out the window like a princess in a tower...no wait, she was able to move about, but violated her pre-term release and got home confinement. She pretends she has no representatives, but she had lawyers. She exhorted her fellow 1/6 dopes to enter the Capitol that day--why isn't she being looked at as a possible "Fed" provocateur, huh?

She's living in a whole different universe from our reality. She went from saying on social media: “We will do what we want and there’s nothing the gov can do to stop us,” to asking, “Why should I go to jail? Over what? A broken window?”

Burglars break windows, too, and are felons. And apparently, the government actually DOES do something about that. These windows were broken because the stolen-election-believing sheeple who went to the capitol on 1/6 wanted to steal the election back for their Peerless Feeder

Will incarceration "fix" Rachel? Who knows? But maybe she educates others as an example to not be her

This is why I look at nattering nabobs like David Axelrod with disdain. OOoooooohhhh, taking Donald Trump off the ballot will divide the country, will it? Tell it to the fuckfaces who already thought we were in a Civil War on 1/6. A Civil War, because Trump's election is a Lost Cause that he keeps fighting, and maybe, just maybe, that shit needs to be removed from his grasp, and the people who lived through our bloodiest conflict on this soil understood that very well.

Climate Sunday 2: Stop Electing Ron Johnson!

I explained my problem with no-nothing babble-on dipshits just a few nights ago, but the rationale still holds: this man has not the least idea what he's talking about, nor the wit or imagination to appreciate the human misery that follows-through from any of the things that climate change portends. On one hand, less people will freeze to death but counterpoint: people will die in heat waves. There will be forest fires. There will be desertification of formerly arable land. There will be water shortages. There is a limit to the benefit of CO2 increase on plant growth. Crops can easily be wiped out by flooding, hail, mudslides. Whole cities can be devastated by increased cyclonic activity. Changes in the jet stream broadly affect planting schedules in a way we can't yet anticipate, and climate changes affect where planting crops is most effective.

And the result of these changes will be mass human migration and local conflicts over water rights and international conflicts over human rights-- like who gets to eat. Like who can live in the zones that remain livable, when areas formerly safe are no longer capable of supporting life.

This dumb, dumb man represents too many people who cannot appreciate the knock-on effects of the changes in our atmosphere and the weather it produces already occurring. Johnson is exactly the kind of dumb-dumb we need to stop having because this! My figurative god in a literal existential conundrum--WTF is this kind of happy-ass thinking?  And is he really saying, yeah well, if it's really hot in Africa, the right sort of people will get it? Because that's sort of how I'm hearing it.

He doesn't realize a town in Canada got incinerated because of a heat bubble not two years ago? Climate disasters aren't far away and other folk. It's all of us, and why in the hell aren't African folks also your concern, supposed Christian?

All of what he says is too dumb and out of touch. I don't understand how someone like this got so recently re-elected, when he is obviously paint chip-eating dumb.

TWGB: See Something, Say Something

What was that thing we all learned post 9/11? That if some rando handed you off a dodgy package, you should scream bloody murder. Who the hell is this from? Why the hell give it to me? Who the hell is it for? Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, who I helpfully note is stupidly up for re-election this year, is exactly that dumbass. Hrm, Give this unvetted shit from someone I do not know to the VP at our solemn handover of government? Yes, I will be on that shit like enjoying my Fourth of July in Moscow

Ron Johnson can fit an entire billiard ball in his mouth--have you seen his mouth? He can do it. I think he should, and keep it in place until forever. Because he lies, and I think his pretense that he doesn't know who gave him the fake elector votes is obviously a lie.

Now, the people we saw testify today were all people who got death threats. Rusty Bowers had his family threatened. He was only discharging his duty the best he knew how, and the ravening crowd made his personal tragedy harder to deal with. Brad Raffensperger explained the same. But the plight of the Georgia election workers made me exceptionally mad, because they were just regular people doing a good and responsible job.  And were threatened with death because of the lies spread by Trump and Giuliani. The perpetrators of the lie should never know a minute of ease. They need to know accountability for what they provoked against blameless average people. These assholes made election work--the backbone of our democracy--an unsafe thing because wee toddlerbrain Trump was mad he lost.

Maybe someone like Johnson will see accountability, but I can only imagine--not enough. Imagine just casually lying about not knowing who gave him those votes. Like no one would press the matter further. It's the ease of lying that is so galling. The fake votes just magically appeared. He just thought he'd give them to the VP. No big at all. Just stealing an election for Trump. Nothing to see here.

It doesn't sit right with me that people who did the right thing went through hell and people who obviously did the wrong thing are so comfortable.

TWGB: Like We Said....

So about the hot one that just dropped from ODNI--it's sure to be a beloved classic in the TrumpWorld Grab-Bag library because it pretty much says, "Oh hell yes, Russia was interfering, the election was legit, but masses of US conservatives in Trump's orbit were absolutely help laundering disinfo." In other words, Putin tried to steal this one and Republicans helped, then sat back and cried they were the ones that got robbed. The report doesn't name names of who exactly Russia was using Ukrainian cut-outs to launder disinfo to in Trump[s circle, but, like, if you all were following along during the first impeachment--you kind of know, right?

And well, that's probably coming.

(And for that matter, the actors in question probably should have understood very well who they were dealing with, which makes them willing accomplices, not mere useful idiots. Although they were idiots, too, obviously. Also, it's funny to me that the old DNI was Trump's biggest apologist.)

Just as an aside, do you think we've heard the last about the Kavanaugh investigation that wasn't, or nah? (I guess I always wanted a follow-up on whether the whole nomination, etc. wasn't kind of, well, you know.)

TWGB: It's Raining Shoes!

It certainly has been a minute, hasn't it? So, what brings me out of self-imposed blogging exile, if not something very relevant to my...
