The Palm Sunday murder of civilian people in Ukraine was no accident, no mistake. It was purposeful, as has been every horrific step in the course of Russia's invasion. The vicious lie that the deaths are some mistake gives Russia an unearned grace, enables Putin, gives Trump and his bootlicker Witkoff space to pretend they are accomplishing anything by their idiotic path of continued appeasement. Trump refuses to learn and his emissary can't be taught.

And the little Trump fanclub is full of the weak and the bought and the braindead--I don't know what to make of this:

Except to say Russian influence is, as Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said in his 60 Minutes interview, everywhere in the US. But as for me, I can see clearly. This is Russia, once again for the umpteenth time, telling the world they aren't interested in peace. 

And Witlesskopf and Trump can't hear that.  If they could make peace happen, why, wouldn't they be heroes?

But Russia is not about that, and they have to think about this thing another way. The other way that means accelerating now instead of later and putting a failing Russia (not the world power of their youth) in its place and not coddling Putin because of nukes or money or whatever other influence they want to attribute to him. 

Putin is a paper tiger soaked in kerosene. The precarity of his situation could be easily exploited if the dipshits in charge of the US foreign policy would bother to recognize it. Our economic heft is such we could fuck their economy into oblivion--but Trump and 'em don't get it. The worst they would do is lower oil prices by plunging the whole world into recession--

A bit too drastic for my blood and with a whole different purpose in mind--if you would call it a purpose. And not a pathology. 

The levers of power could be used to alleviate Ukraine's woes, but we are idling. I have no reason to think the Trump Administration wants peace at all. I don't care what they want. I want Trump gone, and someone with a normal human conscience in his place.
