TWGB: It's Him. He's the Problem.

 

The thing with Trump is, he doesn't ever stop his dumb mouth. Even though his lawyers probably told him this already, the Judge in the civil defamation/sexual assault trial against Trump needed to comment on Trump's social media commentary. What Trump was trying, and always is about, is making his case to the public. He seems to believe that if you're a really popular guy, maybe the rules don't matter. If you are a star, you get away with things. 

And in Trump's world, he is a supernova. His gravity bends time and space. Why wouldn't his continued invective against the woman who accused him be fine and dandy?

Um, because this is a defamation case, and that shit right there was more defamation? This is where I say a little prayer for all the people who still think Trump is smart and want him to be president, because if you see him do that shit, and still think he is smart--my god. The daily life you lead. The struggles you face. The afterschool special that is you. The entire cautionary tale of your mislead existence. How you don't drown in the pouring rain with your whole mouth agape mystifies me, but go on doing you, I guess. 

Anyway, Alvin Bragg might try to gag his mouth separately and for all the same reasons. Lawyers always remind their clients they can shut the hell up and help their case. Trump has that right but fails to demonstrate the ability. 

Anyway, his issues with respect to his legal woes have a lot to do with him--I suspect it was his choice that Tacopina is the guy he wanted to question E. Jean Carroll. The big dude who looks like a mob enforcer. Not one of his lady attorneys. So this big dude is asking a slight older woman why she didn't scream in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room. When so many of us women would entirely understand why. The irony that the exact trauma you would want to be saved from is the exact highly degrading position you don't want to be seen in. The shock of being moved on and the adult-think responsibility of thinking this is the thing you, and you alone, have to save yourself from. 

The person who did this to her is the exact reason why she kept it silent for so long. Can you imagine? The force he could bring to bear? All the time? And it's personified by a guy like the lawyer he's got questioning her. 

But I feel like that was his choice. Don't you? Just like his intimidating Truth Social posts were. It's who he is. 

In other news, he lost the battle to stop Mike Pence from testifying to the Smith Grand Jury and Pence apparently just did that.  That probably sucks for Trump, because Pence was in the loop and truly has no reason to cover for him. Especially not after the man sent his slavering mob after him with a noose and whatnot. Pence doesn't bring that up publicly. I still say, if that were me, I'd never stop talking about it. But in a closed room? Maybe Pence would feel different, and who could blame him? 

But here's something fun to chew on--we knew for a minute Trump's campaign hired a company to review the voter fraud claims and rejected them--but what if I said there were two? Two businesses paid by Trump's campaign to find voter fraud sufficient to prove he won and overturn the election, and both of them plus his AG Bill Barr said, "NOPE, you lost." And he's still lying to this day. Still going around crying "RIGGED and STOLLEN!" 

Don't know how to break this to his little fan club--but all this is his narcissism talking. Like, when his lawyers try and tell Republican congresspeople to change the laws so the DOJ can't go after him over the ESPIONAGE ACT VIOLATIONS--it really looks like he is not putting America first, but is some kind of weirdo who thinks whatever he does is ok and totally legal and totally cool. 

Even when it obviously isn't. 

GOP folks need to wake up--the guy is fucked in the head and a serious liability. Yeah, I know I just said last post DeSantis isn't any kind of ticket replacement. All of these things are "your" problems, GOP.  Maybe Chris Sununu is perfectly fine to run or any other person who walks upright and isn't completely mental--but Trump is a likely rapist and a national security liability. 

As a Democrat I love this for you, but why do you hate yourselves? 

Why is he the frontrunner in your presidential primary? He's a nutjob and potential criminal.  He's the problem.
