For some reason, the lad seems to believe that Putin had a good relationship with his father because his dad was "strong". Because obviously, a dictator would love to have a relationship with someone who is guaran-damn-teed to stand in his way.Eric Trump: Putin was in with the KGB. Yeah, Eric, Putin admired your dad for the opportunity to be turned away from his imperial dreams by a phone call and a "stern talking to." This lump-less tapioca-for-brains dad, who is going around saying Putin just wants to put his country back together because of "love".
Putin understood very well what he was getting with Trump. A trainable puppy.
It's one thing to assume that Trump's #2 son is merely confused by his familial devotion--but what is literally anyone else's excuse?

I keep hearing about how bad things can be if somehow drumpf uck is again "elected," but I don't think that touches on how bad things can be if having realized he was played drumpf uck is again "elected." I don't think it even comes close.
Trump has a dictator personality--he's all about the "get back". People who have written books or made public statements, however mildly critical, would be finding out he holds a grudge, no matter how "made" they thought they were in the party, if Trump were to get a second chance. That's why "normie" folks like Barr and Nikki Haley astound me with their naiivete. They would have no future because he wouldn't trust them.
I don't know what kind of inner circle he'd appoint in that stupid scenario, but they would definitely not be the best and brightest people--more like the dumbest, most kiss-up, punch down assholes the world ever saw. And his worldview, to the extent he has one (can anyone actually show me he can even read a map?) will be ever more based on his limited idea of "people he thinks he can make a deal with". Which, being as his love letter pen pal described him, a "dotard", is going to be just a myriad of incredibly bad choices.
Will he realize Putin was just using him? Doubtful. He just gave an interview where he admitted Putin "changed" and he wouldn't have expected the Ukraine invasion--because Trump is so dumb, he didn't realize Putin is also kind of dumb. Putin didn't change, he just revealed his dumnbness. He thought Putin could just declare certain regions as his and it would be made so and no one would fight--because he has no earthly grasp of history, or the idea that people fight for their land. Even if they could lose, because it has meaning and history. He doesn't understand what being a world power is, nor its limitations.
If Putin self-destructs, and I think this could happen, I would be less fearful of a second coming of Trump. Trump's worst weakness is if everyone else understands how weak he always was. In a future where Putin holds on and Trump somehow wins 2024, I feel like we are so fucked. Not we libs--like, humankind on planet earth. Because it means greed and inhumanity won.
"I have no idea what Dad's up to, but Putin's got the training, and if he says itg's OK I guess I can stop worrying.
