TWGB: Fox and the Sour Grapes

What would you call the shade Trump painted himself for this? Terror Cotta? The "enemy within"--which Trump has suggested siccing the military on, includes (Democratic) US Congress members. It probably also includes former GOP US Congress members like Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. It likely includes certain former White House personnel--his own former White House. IT includes people like Gen. Mark Milley.  And this "enemies list" is not about people who lied about him--oh no. They did something far worse.

They told the truth.  Trump has never been a fan of transparency--even though we can see through him. Russian interference was real and the Trump campaign had multiple Russian contacts, and the perfect phone call wasn't perfect. It was extortionate

So, how does Fox News, who was sued by Dominion not so long ago and settled for a really amazing amount of money for lying about the 2020 election, in the person of one Brett Baier, presumed serious interviewer, use this information--that Trump considers various prominent American public servants fair game for being rounded up by the military and punished for being the "enemy within"?

He whitewashes it to try and make the Democratic 2024 Presidential candidate look like she's being extra.

No, really.

Of all the Trump-loving hack shit. The story, if you cared about NEWS, is, Trump is a fascist who will go after his political enemies once elected. The Fox News stooge buried that and had to be called out by the Democratic nominee. And now TrumpWorld wants to pretend she looked angry because she corrected a whole wrong man.

She was stern, but collected, strong and calm. I'm pissed off because if you have to falsify the record in support of the Republican candidate, you are not a journalist but a political operative

Charlamagne tha God was more serious when he asked if we can't say fascism yet.  And she answered yes there and here.  If anyone wants to pay close and very necessary attention.

It is natural to be pissed off that a journalist is lying to you. He is misinforming people. It's not his job to do that. If a cook feeds you something inedible--are they a good cook? If a doctor makes you sicker, are they a good doctor? If your clothes fell apart in the wash, you would be mad at the person who sold them to you. If a news organization tells you something that falls apart in the fact-checking, should you not feel the same?

Today, Trump went on a pretend town hall with women moderated by Harris Faulkner. The women were all Trump supporters. No shit. And he still looked horrible, calling himself the father of IVF, saying Sen. Katie Britt is attractive (not that she's smart) and that he would get higher ratings than the family of a woman who died because of an abortion ban. He seemed blithely unaware that women really don't care if it's the federal government or the state government signing their death warrant if they are denied necessary reproductive care. No empathy. All self-defense and self-regard.

If Fox News wants to trod out vintage Trump and then bitch that the result is sour, my word! What did you think his grapes of wrath would taste like? Dr. Pepper? Take your criticism with a grain of medicine, Fox News--what if you just tried being responsible and trustworthy? Let TrumpWorld deflate like the dangerous untethered hot air bouncy castle it is.
