It is to Laugh!

There is nothing funnier than the idea that we have a president who shamelessly lied to undermine the Bureau of Labor Statistics during his campaign constantly, but now feels these numbers are perfectly great.

HAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHA!

(See, the joke is that Trump was always lying, and the suckers believed him! Right? Right? Yeah, it isn't actually funny. I don't know why the press is laughing along.)

Hi Vixen, it is a puzzle to conservatives that leftists do not understand why Trump has such robust support. Naturally, one would expect disagreement and disappointment, because people who lean left wanted their candidate to win. That's understood. What is conspicuous by its absence is the complete lack of perception about who conservatives are, what motivates them, and why this new populist brand is so fond of the president.

It's really gets into the area of the peculiar, because conservative opinion is certainly not trying to conceal their motivations. And there doesn't seem to be much introspection on the left to try and discern why their own candidate did not do better. There is a reason that your state went red, and one would think that there would be strong motivation to understand why. Maybe after the next election...

I wanted to mention something so I do not feel guilty. In an earlier comment I went on in my long-winded way about the magical arts. You brought up a cogent point. In today's world there is scarcely time for most people to take the time required and get spousal approval to meet the requirements. Back during the days of the Golden Dawn (it still exists in several venues), one almost needed to be a wealthy aristocrat in order to have the time. And that was before TV and the computer.

I'll make this simple. Virtually all of the ultimate goals that are sought in magic can be achieved by much simpler and less time-consuming practices. For example, one of the very best practices I know of is transcendental meditation. It takes 20 minutes in the morning and in the evening and is very supportive for health, energy, and a host of other beneficial possibilities. It is easy to integrate into a regular day.

It is very important that the spiritual side of life not be neglected when one has secured an incarnation, and from middle age on some attention needs to be directed at something other than the temporal mess.

To liberals, Trump is an offensive liar. I don't really want to know more about why his core likes him. I may like conservatives much less if I do. I see who he impresses the most, and some of these people impress me the very least. It is not a conversation I care to expand on, TBH. While these people may be fine, upstanding folks--I simply don't think Trump is.

In regards to spiritual matters, people don't have the time to really get into practice, but can get hold of some interesting bits of information in an "Information Age"--they say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. I think that is very true.
