Melania Trump was radiant in white and gave a speech that praised her spouse to the uttermost--which is kind of what a political wife is supposed to do, so no duh. But it is pretty interesting that whoever wrote her speech totally copied Michelle Obama's 2008 speech.

We are here together, folks, in 2016, where a speech can be entered into a thing called a "search engine" and someone can determine whether any part of it was previously said. This is on Trump's staff--really? You put words in this woman's mouth that came from such an obvious somewhere else? How not professional are you? Because that is inexcusably not professional. Your job is to make your clients look great--but this is not great. Write straight copy, don't copy straight. Christ. Who is working for the Trumps? I am actually feeling bad for them, and I shouldn't. But if I was their speechwriter--I'd have bothered to make it 100% original. Is that too much to really ask?
