It's made of memes!

I'm really glad to read TBogg's take on Sally Quinn's self-parody because I just couldn't get past making a blog-title:

"I'm still big, it's the parties that got small."

"Will you vulgar people get off Sally Quinn's lawn?"

""We are all Hillary Clinton, now."

"The Village is Burning"

Her piece is a beautiful self-homage combining self-reference, name-dropping, nostalgia for the the Golden Age of the Punditocracy, and bitterness. She has been periodically rewriting a column about how the quality of parties going down is a metaphor for our society for yoinks, and she admits it. It is both sui generis and refreshingly obtuse. It's a rare pleasure to snark at.
