What Newt Gingrich actually did say about the top members of his finance staff leaving his campaign weeks after several other members of his campaign staff quit:
"Philosophically, I am very different from normal politicians, and normal consultants found that very hard to deal with," Gingrich said in a speech at the Atlanta Press Club, according to Reuters. "We have big ideas. I just think that's part of how you campaign. You talk to the American people about big things."Yes. It's because he thinks big things. He's very different that way. And he's by no means done the race, even if his campaign debt is about $1 million (oh wait, wrong link). And of course, the media is out to get him because he's very, very dangerous.
(That's nonsense: Why would the media want to bury Gingrich--he's too entertaining!)
You have to admire the pluck. I think that's what they call it.
