Sen. Jon Kyl believes in several days of Christmas

This is the sort of thing a real War on Christmas should be about.

To sum, Sen. Jon Kyl of AZ doesn't want to come back after the Chrsistmas holiday to do his job because:

"It is impossible to do all of the things that the majority leader laid out," Kyl said today, "frankly, without disrespecting the institution and without disrespecting one of the two holiest of holidays for Christians and the families of all of the Senate, not just the senators themselves but all of the staff."

How long is his Christmas? It's just December 25 on my calendar. Maybe he had a vacation planned, but that isn't quite the same as respecting the holiday. I'm working the 27th through the 31st myself. Maybe he agrees with his colleague from AZ that it would make the Baby Jesus cry to vote on DADT while other people are still nogging it up. But in any event, it seems to me like if there's a job to be done, he might as well do it--

So many don't have those things, after all--jobs.
