I think this is called "Shadenfruede"--or, The Bagboy Cometh.

Let Cenk at TYT explain:

So, since he's kind of obscure, who is this Dr. George Alan Rekers? Why, this is him! He's a man, obviously, who has baggage. To be carried.

One exceptionally heavy sack in particular, eh?

I dunno. When I see these "reparative therapy" endorsing creepy anti-gay religious wankers, I tend to mentally construct a gilded closet for them to hang out in, where they silently judge others and visit massive amounts of gay porn on the Internet--for research, naturally. So it's probably just my bias that assumes that it is sheer coincidence that Lucien was exactly the sort of boy Dr. Rekers might both live in judgement of, and kind of want to know, Biblically speaking. The Family Research Council will now pretend not to know him. You know, in the kind of cover-up way that Shirley Dobson usually wears long-sleeves. Or so I maliciously, salaciously, fallaciously and speculatively insert for satirical effect. Of course James Dobson doesn't beat his wife that he admits to. Only children and small dogs.

So why should anyone naturally think "hypocrisy" from an FRC Founder? Practice at being underwhelmed with the odor of sanctity of zealous men, perhaps? Or because Ted Haggard softened us up to expect that anti-gay evangelists are just like the rest of us--human. And as "flawed" as we can get away with--not that I think being gay is a flaw at all--but just another expression of human sexuality? Or because of the obvious things he "does"?

I'd like to see him get open and find peace if that's how it is. I'm with Shakespeare--"To thine own self be true...." and all.
