Snowpocalypso--a caution.
I'd like to use my blog for a moment to discuss winter-driving, kind of as a PSA. One of my friends from work, and my own spouse, have both recently had automotive single-car incidents, and I think this is a capital time to lay some blogular advice down--
Please--think of the road as your enemy. I know this sounds daft, but it would help you to pretend you are driving on an entity that is simply going to lie to you. The road is a stupid, black-ice-ridden, false friend. Just because there isn't as much traffic, is no reason to suppose you are safe from a patch of unseen slipperyness leading you to misjudge a turn, a curb, or your likelihood of smacking a tree, median, Jersey barrier, or other inanimate object if you chance to let your wheels shimmy unexpectedly.
Also--don't suppose that any of your fellow drivers are especially smart. Odds are--they are stupid people and probably should have a movie of the week based on how dumb they are. If you see someone going especially fast--this is no reason to speed up. And if you see someone with a low clearance drive right up a drift--do laugh at them and avoid doing the same. Learn from other people's mistakes.
In other words--have some common sense, people. Neither speed, nor flaunt. Just get to where you are going, and try not to make too many side-trips. Stay safe, folks.

Vixen, I think you are "pissing in the wind" on this one...especially considering where you live. I've driven that rush hour.
