Koobi Fora--the footprint of our ancestors.

This is about our earliest ancestors--and the mark they left. That is the footprint of an upright, bipedal humanoid. Homo ergaster wasn't a great deal like us, but we have an idea he stood upright. He walked and probably ran. He chased prey. and he did so over 1 million years ago.

When I see something that tells me we are not looking at some young earth, I can not help but smile. I like knowing that this narrow band of creatures we call "human" came from a history of other hardy primates--I like knowing how they resembled us--how they evolved into what we are. It's a grand thing.
