It's reasonable to blame this gaffe on whatever drug Trump took to sound so sedated during his presser, but it's also possible he is the least informed SOB in all of US presidential history, which, like getting impeached or losing 165000 Americans to a pandemic (which Trump can certainly number amongst his "accomplishments"), does not get you either a Nobel or a spot on Mount Rushmore. I do not envy his fact checkers, but anyway, so long as he's president they won't suffer from lack of work.
But egads! Does his campaign really think they should make an issue of Biden gaffes when good lordt but Trump serves up some steaming stupid? Maaaayyyybeee they should not.
