Kevin McCarthy claims QAnon ignorance after denouncing it last year https://t.co/8bVZGYUAYH

When House Minority Leader is pretending he doesn't even know how Qanon is pronounced, even though he's had plenty of time to study up on the subject, and seems to have know perfectly well what they were a handful of months ago, he's signalling exactly what people at, say, Fox News do, when they exclaim, "Why, there's hardly any white supremacists! I bet you've never even met one! I know I never have!" He's saying "We'll ignore the crazy so long as you're on our side. We won't even see it."
You know. Big tent and all that. It's just that, they literally pissed in his tent. Literally. And he thinks not calling them out now is going to remedy that? Maybe he's a little touched himself.

Calling the GOP a cult usually seems a little overblown to me.
But this practice of making people grovel and tell obvious lies and shit all over themselves is actually one of the ways that cults operate, it breaks people down. Trump did this A LOT.
It's insane.
