Seeing is Believing

I was hoping I'd be able to put together a little something about Trump's primal scream speech, how it built up during the National Prayer Breakfast (where he openly disparaged the faith of his critics and made the event more about himself than the maker in which he states belief) and unloaded in just over an hour of remarks that alternated between describing himself in martyr-like tones, building up the people who stood by him and low-key promising vengeance on people who did not, but at the end, seeing is believing. I don't know who can pay attention to what he said and be of the least impression that the "heads on a pike" comments did not have truth to them, or that he feels in any way that he did anything wrong to learn from.

What he's actually learned is that Republicans have his back. That is all. So he will go on to behave any way he likes--and we will see it unfold (well, the bits that aren't covered-up.) The point is, how will people see it, here and abroad? How will history see it? There just aren't more words I can add to what is moping and raging right in front of everyone's face.
