Climate Sunday: Saying it with Shoes

These shoes represent the people who would have marched this weekend on behalf of the climate in Paris, but were unable to as the protest there was cancelled in light of the recent terrorist attack. Some protesters did rally despite the ban, and there were scores of arrests. Worldwide, there were hundreds of thousands of people marching.

This activity--some of it quite aggressive--is intended to express the urgency with which people regard the climate talks to take place among world leaders.

I hope these world leaders are listening, and persuaded that the people demand significant climate action. A healthy planet is a very popular idea to the people living on it!
