Senator Graham. Trying too Hard. Benghazi!

Huh. I'd wonder if anyone was emboldened when 9/11 happened and President Bush didn't get Bin Laden during his two terms of office if I were a contemptible partisan douchenozzle, but I leave that to professionals.

The thing I love about that tweet is that even if you totally buy the Benghazi! hype, Graham makes no sense. His comment with annotations is this: "When a group of [Arabic religious extremists] kill Americans and nobody pays a price, you invite [Russia to seize control of a portion of Ukraine, which, Graham might want to note, is not America]."

So the idea is the U.S. is enboldening its enemies to take aggressive actions against foreign countries that are not usually closely associated with the U.S.?

I can't even be sure Graham has a direct link in mind, except that he seems to have Benghazi on the brain. I hate to come back to the simplistic idea of foreign policy as duelling shows of machismo, but it seems the criticism of "weakness" has nothing to do with the president's choices as executive, but more like his style decisions. And bike helmets and arugula are apparently not tough enough. Because Democrats are the Mom party and conservatives need a Daddy figure? Or something Freudian like that.
