Well, that's what the poll numbers say about Tea Party support. I thought they hit a low a while back--why, I am so old I remember when there was no such thing as a Tea Party at all. In fact, I think I remember they were a manufactured thing that only happened shortly after Obama won the presidency in 2008 because somebody thought he'd raise all the taxes. In fact, I think they actually have outlived any usefulness they may have had if they are the driving force behind a potentially economy-wrecking course that might involve either government shutdown (because the hell with the government, right?) or a possible default on the debt--because they somehow got the idea that the debt ceiling was like a credit card limit that enables spending, not enables paying? (Starve the beast, taxed enough already, hands off my Medicare. So much shit to shovel, such dedicated shovelers.)
Ha, ha. Good times. Somewhere out there a handful of billionaires are probably staggered that astroturf requires so much landscaping. Me? I've always liked science, so I've never really wondered how grassroots were supposed to grow.
