Rep. Akin Thinks Women Who Aren't Pregnant Are Getting Abortions Because Terrorism.

You know how women are always getting jacked over at the auto mechanic, and they don't even know they paid for unnecessary repairs until some man points out, "You know, that was probably just a starter problem. Shouldn't have cost but two hundred, tops."  I think he thinks it goes something like that.  You know, "Doc, I could be pregnant, but I have no way of figuring out how my body works."  "Huh, well, if you're pregnant it can't be a legitimate rape, but why I don't I take a look under the hood?' And next thing you know....

That he goes on at length about a "culture of life" and terrorism, though, shows absolutely no awareness of the pro-life terrorists who have bombed clinics and murdered doctors for their version of a so-called "culture of life". It's anti-abortion legislators who help ensure that these places are underfunded and that the employees and patients are harrassed.

The doctors who assist women in making their reproductive health choices are sought out by those women voluntarily--that's not terrorism.  Rep. Akin is simply wrong in every way about this.
