Abortion Worldwide: 47000 Women Die Each Year from Unsafe Abortions

Contraceptive access, sex education, and reproductive choice should be acknowledged as fundamental rights for all people. The attempts to outlaw or restrict these rights under the paternalistic notion that religion and government can determine what is best for individuals is disastrous.  Results have shown that contraception access reduces abortions-- and if one strongly believes in a culture of life, that belief should include respecting the health of the pregnant female-bodied person and her other existing family.
