Rick Santorum's new Slogan is "Courage".

Which reminded me for some reason of 1997's epic political movie: Wag the Dog. There's this wonderful business about a manufactured "hero" called "Old Shoe" played brilliantly by Woody Harrelson, who turns out to be a nun-rapin' psychopath. Anywho--when I hear that Rick Santorum has "Courage" as his slogan, my busy brain makes "Courage, Mom" from Wag the Dog play in the background. Even though I cannot find a link on Youtube to the song from the movie.

Weirdly enough, Santorum totally reminded me of Wag the Dog in 2006, the election year that he totally lost. He thought he had a brilliant scoop, by talking about some found weapons that reminded us that 1991 Saddam Hussein was really a bad guy.

("Marty! Get in the time-machine! Let's invade 1991 badass Saddam Hussein!"

"But Doc, he was already well and truly invaded."

"So?")

Anyway, I'm going to think of his slogan as "Courage, Mom." After Wag the Dog. Just because. His act is a sad old shoe.
