Oh--he'll be *crapping* inside the tent.

I had a typically optimistic attitude about Joe Lieberman just over a year ago--I preferred that he was pissing outside the tent rather than pissing in--until I amended myself. I realized that Holy Joe showed signs of going just too far to make himself agreeable to not just the McCampaign, but the McCainiacs. He wanted to seize the middle, and make straddling the fence his own.

And he thinks that means he's principled.

I'm not sure exactly where the principle lay in being mostly liberal for most of your career where health care issues tend, and even be in favor of a Medicare buy-in as late as three months ago, and now that it means something, be ready to back out--but apparently, this is a matter of principle for the guy.

Principally, he wants people to pay very close attention while he bends liberals over for supporting Ned Lamont--which we did because we already realized he was a centrist goober and not one of us! Don't be hating, Mr. Independent, try and win us! (But no. Principle. Also known as catching teh stupid from John McCain. Between the two of them, you'd find more principles than in a convent but no more brain cells than could comfortably populate a microscopic slide.) He really ought to be losing something for this--and I am in good company for thinking so.

When I thought he might occasionally piss inside the tent, I never dreamed he'd drop trou' and treat us to a steaming pile of stinky....ego, like this. But now he's shown his true colors, I say he has asked for the worst. He just doesn't matter. Any moderate Republican is as worthy of attention, maybe more so.
