Boehner's boner--re: the Constitution.
No comment, really. Just a possible suggestion that the Congressman actually read the odd founding document to see if he thinks it works for him. Or others. "Pursuit of happiness"--Declaration of Independence--also good for civil liberties invocations in general. "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." That would be the Constitution's Preamble. The "more perfect union" and "promote the general welfare" bits are where most social programs stem from--and no other amendment actually says we can't.
So, that was some Guy Fawkes hi-jinks the minority leader was up to. If a little wrong, in places. About, you know, the major stuff we're founded on bits. But he's down with the "revolting". America did have a revolution. So there's that.
