Gillibrand--probably not as centrist as all that. Just an instinct. I don't count an NRA membership against anyone. Nor do I always suppose that how someone runs is how someone always votes. Patterson could have pulled this off smoother and not batted Caroline Kennedy around as much. Just sayin'.
