You know the "troops" ad? The Biggest of the Lying Lies, where the McCampaign has to play like Obama didn't visit wounded soldiers because he wasn't going to have his media there? You know, the absolute lying horseshit thing they spent money to create an ad on and everyone who sees it should throw up in their mouth a little that he's saying Obama is unpatriotic and would exploit wounded soldiers for a political reason when everyone knows McCain would never use the uniform or the dedicated service of anybody for political reasons, because that would be so bad? You know, that ad? Even though every one who reads the Washington Post knows Obama went to Walter Reed quite quietly and does give a damn about the troops and for that matter vets?
And like, McCain thinks the GI Bill the Senate voted on just recently was just a costly social program? So, maybe all vets should totally find themselves hot heiress babes? They should do so well.
Anyways. The AFL-CIO is all over it:
From Barack Obama's Support of American Vets
And then, well,
McCain's record on vets.
The story from a journalist who was there (re: did he visit with troops?):
And here he is in Kuwait:
I don't think he's got a problem with our servicemembers. He just has a problem with people saying untrue things about him. But even the one guy who started out saying he dissed the troops--took it back.
So, there it is.
