Richard Dawkins: Aren't we all Atheists?



Well, more or less. I only quibble regarding whether American Atheists are all a block representing the intelligensia. If we actually are freethinkers, then with all of us thinking, surely there is room to disagree--I might have a quarrel with Christopher Hitchens over the Iraq war. I might not agree with Nat Hentoff in re: abortion. Our only shared issue is atheism, and some kind of humanism. But I think it is worth considering whether an atheist ethos can produce good, consistent government, and be beneficial to the world.

This is after all, the world we've got..
