Quick--who's the leader of Iran?

Okay, thanks for playing. The leader of Iran is--the Supreme Leader of Iran, which is kind of what the name implies. Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution--this has been an Ayatollah, because Iran is way Islamic. Seriously. Here is the Wikipedia version of the Supreme Leader.

Note the following as in the purview of the Supreme Leader:

3. Issuing decrees for national referendums.
4. Assuming supreme command of the armed forces.
5. Declaration of war and peace, and the mobilization of the armed forces

That sounds kind of Commander-in-Chiefish--and like that *would* be the guy in charge. Ahmedinijad--not so much. Just a temporary president, and not a secure one at that. So for who the shot-caller is?

Uh, why doesn't John McCain know this? Doesn't he want to be Commander-in-Chief in America as president? Would that not be good to know?
